i was chasing for this person, they are my neighbors, my location was mile 4 and 8. we got 9th for the day as we snaped a rear axle on the second lap at marker 3 in the sand wash. took an 1 1/2 hours to get back on the track, but still finished the race, she was driving the pink royal purple and damzl 132 car
Incase anyone found it, i lost a spare out at the powderpuff race, it is and Eagle 101 series rim w/tire, the tire was a baja TA but it was done cause i got a flat friday night while prerunning, the rim is a 16x8 with a toyota 6 on 5.5 lug patterns, if anyone found it can you please contact me...909-238-6788..thanx....
DEZERT DUCK
I arrive at 1st road crossing early stand behind the Orange spectator fence. Pit club arrives and sets up their pit in front of the spectators fence parking there cars in a line instead of moving them further blocking the view, what a joke.
does anyone have any idea why a TON of linked trucks were SAND BAGGING in 1450 in the AM race? cant remember them all but it looked like koenig, only1mikey, and 1 other truck ive seen a couple times?!?!

if i was the engage offroad guys/girls, or the ones in the bitchin f150 on leafs, i would of been pretty pissed/bummed. what chance do you have even if yoru a better driver, if your racing against a class that is well above yours? i think the rules should be inforced no matter what, if you were in 5/1600 and a 5open car entered your class, would you protest? or do they not care cause its the "1450 brooooooo trucks"

1444 did this to my truck. they never came over to talk to me, i had to go over to them to get the dad to look at the damage. they said they would cover the doors, i told them its $65 to fix the bedside, but i havent heard from them since saturday...

The class rules have been very liberal for this race since the beginning. I have seen several cars running out of there appropriate class over the years (12 cars with big motors in 10, 5 cars in class 10, and the linked trucks you mentioned). Nobody has ever done any sort of post tech or check for that sort of stuff. For this race MORE has always taken the approach that if you say it belongs in whatever class then it does. Not saying its right but its just been that way at this race since the beginning.
OUCH!!
Kevin Martin - Bald Eagle Racing #1297/1197
Yeah that chick was full of fail. Im sorry but it was such a stupid, inexperienced move and totally unnecessary. THe chick came from a two track that was literally 50 feet away from my two track, THROUGH THE FRIGIN BUSHES, into my door and then turns into me again into the bedside for a full t-bone.
I would have taken full responsibilty if our two tracks merged and say "hey yeah I didn't lift" and we side swiped. But no.. our tracks were going away from eachother, seperated by bushes, I was doing probably 60, she clearly was not going my speed, and she slammed right into me.
Driver never got out of the truck, the co-driver comes over and says "oh man that sucks huh, guess thats racing... we didnt see you because we didn't look" WHAT THE MOTHER OF F?!??!?!?
Then asks what Sean said when I called, which was obviously chill to make sure the axle didn't snap etc. and the chick tells me "Oh f*$k that, I would tell my boyfriend to F%*k off and I would finish the race no matter what." Then promptly takes off while they are leaking power steering fluid all over the place.
I understand that this was a "All girl, inexperienced racer" race, but come on! And then I was told she races go karts? I guess thats how they drive in their races..
Oh and of course like Sean said, we were camped RIGHT NEXT TO THEM. Literally closer than she was to me when she came into my door, and they don't come over to say anything.

As of right now we can't see any cab damage and no cage damage. Thank god for the door bar or my codriver would have definitely been hurt. The passenger door is smashed on so its going to have to get plasma cut off. Once the door is off we will see if there is any other damage.

SAND BAGGIN???? WTF ??? the girls took my truck from last off the line to 2nd place after the first lap... if anything, my girls were the ones NOT sand baggin it.
at the end of the race, the girls landed 2.5 minutes behind first and 19 in front of 3rd...
wait till i get the incab video up... YOULL SEE...
and we raced 1450 cause it was the girls first time driving the truck, and there was way too many trucks in the PM race, im looking out for the body of my truck. i didnt want some cunt to slam into my truck like the whore that slammed into yours... sucks to hear man... maybe next race, you should clip em and set them on their doors and be like "Opps, sorry, i guess thats racing."
i dont think the chick that hit us was a cunt or a whore. it was her 1st time in a truck, and she raced in the class the truck she was given was set up for. i guess next year we will enter 7s so we can gurantee a podium finish. i mean its not sand bagging if you justify it enough to yourself. im sure the chick in 3rd with leaf springs, beat by TWO linked trucks, is at home going oh gee golly, i got 3rd by only 19min, next year maybe i can get lucky and get 5th cause who knows who else is gonna enter in a LINKED truck in a class NOT ALLOWING LINKS.
and i, nor any of my team or most people i race/pit with punt people for fun and say "oh thats racing". but since thats how you look at it ill be sure to keep it in mind if i see your # plate

Damn all this anger...... Haha, I think of powder puff as more of an event rather than a race. If my truck got hit while competing for anything I would just have to suck it up. It blows, but I have had to make drastic and erratic menuvers to keep my truck from being hit by people that didn't see me, or said they didn't see me. It is part of the deal, but acknowledging it after the fact is always a good thing. If it's bumper on bumper, then that is racing, but bumper on sheet metal is a little different and deserves an acknowledgement after the fact.
Dan Vance
you guys are acting like these girls are experienced..... chalk it up as a loss, it was their first time....
woah woah woah... why are you getting hostile with me?
my truck wasnt the one who smashed into yours. i accept any kind of contact while racing, but in your trucks case, where they didnt even have to courtesy to come over after the race and offer you a cold one, and say , at the least " sorry man, first time racing didnt mean to hit you like that". i dont think thats racing, thats pure ignorance and lack of respect for others expensive toys.
i let the girls run my truck in the morning race, for many reasons, the biggest one was because there was a significant amount of more trucks in the PM and the girls being new to racing, i felt, in the interest of my truck(and my wallet most importantly) they dont need to dive head first into a crowded race. other reasons where, morning temps are better for my trans, track isnt as badly beat up, dont want to do rescue operations if something were to happen in the dead heat of the afternoon.
and the 3 girls who were racing 1423, who came in 19 minutes behind us, had a much better equipped truck. 3 link, = length beams, bypasses in front. my truck still has the D35 beams, single coilover in front.
also like Dan Vance said, i cant tell you how many times i told the girls driving my truck, this is not a race, it is more like a jamboree, go out there, have fun, raise money for the boobs, and bring my truck back home safe. they just happen to take 2nd place, and drive like hell doing it...
and since when was driving links in 1450 against the rules?
---------- Post added at 04:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:07 PM ----------
thank you
it is what it is, if they come through with the door cool, if not it is what it is. Tim will help me out at glassworks and Tim at DMZ will help me get the door off. King will most likely help cover the wrap, and my chick will still be stoked cause her name will be in all the Mags.
im nto hostile towards you, just thought you were being pretty belligerent calling the chicks whores. and saying you would punt someone after the race. being hostile with you would be me saying, im gonna punt you if i see your number, my response was, ill be sure to steer clear of you when i see your number, cause it looks like your a eye for an eye kind of guy?
Here is the info you requested:

found this too:
2. "Rear suspension of the stock conception for model and year of truck. Limited to 19" of travel".
(if the truck came with leaf springs, then it needs to be leaf springs. if you need to modify the mounts to except 62" Deavers, then do it. in 1967-1972 the 3/4 ton chevy and gmc trucks came with a link type coil-over rear suspension so that truck would fit in 1450. just an example)

last one:
Last thing, these rules are the rules of MORE and some reps at MORE has been contacted by reps from SNORE and they are also looking into adopting them. They are not meant for MDR, SCORE, BITD, CODE or any others. They have there own set of rules.

im sorry if you feel i was picking on you, i dont really care about what your take is on it, im not mad, not holding a grudge. its a couple days after the race, im tired, sick, and have more work to do to more of my toys. i wanted the truck to be done for glamis, but now i gotta figure out the race truck and the sami and get my trailer bought by halloween.

ok well, didnt know MORE had different set of rules in regards to sportsman. i figured they were running the same as MDR or SCORE. this was our first MORE race.
i always thought the 1450 was door slammer class and 1400 was glass body design, both with unlimited engine requirements.
maybe whore wasnt the right word, but the way Desertgirl was explaining it, it seemed like those girls that slammed into your truck really had no consideration for your truck or even her boyfriends that she was driving
Correct, myself nor my truck we NOT at powerpuff, just want to make that clear.
For the record I raced my truck in 1400 with a stock OHV 4.0L and 5 speed, with spectator seats and all at the last race... no sandbagging here
And Sean, Kevin (half-ass astronaut) is a really chill guy who would give you give you the shirt off his back if you asked, so no reason for the hostility.
Mike
RIP Jon Butler
You will never be forgotten!
there was a truck that looked just like yours! i wanna say gutter cab, explorer clip, looked like a 3.0 up front and 2 shocks in the back, white single cab long bed lol. not too many of those running around y'know?
and im not being hostile, its just been a rough week. truck is still in good shape, glassworks told me theyd help me with the fender, and i just need to get some time in on the door.
