Thread: MORE Chili Cook Off 200 - Sep. 11

I don't see a thread for it yet...

Who's going? Racing? Too soon to race?

Will be there pitting for a Class 1 car. Would be able to co-drive if I was able to wear a freakin helmet, but can't due to surgery.

This could be a spot to organize volunteer efforts and what not as well to keep the event running as smoothly and safely as possible.

I'm entered but if the MDR race in Sept. is still on, I can't do both and will have to race with MDR.

Remember this race will most likely be under close scrutany from everyone. It was mentioned on RDC that everyone who can race, should race. I don't care if you have problems with MORE organizers, if you love this sport, you will show up

Hopefully, we can get lots of volunteers to help out and watch some of the possible problem spots to keep spectators back

I will be out there. Dirt Mob will have the new truggy out and I will be in the co-driver seat.

Not sure if we will be racing any of the GFO trucks. My yota will be torn apart. Maybe cruise the rover out. I would really like to get out there and support and I am willing to volunteer.

FAIR will be there in full force volunteering for road crossings, etc. We are also working with Jim to rent a lit message board for the entry to the OHV area.

Does anyone know what the entry fee is for 1450? Looked on there site couldn't find it also are the basic tech rules the same?

be there chasing for some 7s. would race but motor took a shit!

vinnie, linked truck have to run in 1400... leaf-springers only in 1450

Opps ya I forgot! 1400 class here we come, who's all racing 1400?

There's talk of possibly making 1400 a pro class for this race. Well, not really talk, but 1 guy asked about it and a company wants to throw down $1,000 if the promoter is up for it. Should be up to a class vote, if the promoter allows it. It's possible there could be some big money to the winner.

I'm hoping to attend and help out/volunteer where ever I'm needed.

so greg r u going to race right? most likely ill be there racing, no matter what ill be there to support the cause, but im tryin to race i just need to find some buddies to come help me pit/fuel up and stuff like that..

Ugh, that's gonna be a tuff one there buddy. I'll give it my bestest.

MORE needs to change the rule banning superchargers and turbos so i can race my truck, plus i know im not the only one boosting

Talking to some people I don't think they know how serious this is to keep Off Road racing alive.
if you don't follow the rules it is all going to be gone. and what the BLM says it will not just be Calif.

Before any crying and jumping to conclusion KNOW THE FACTS DON'T START the crap.

Jim & Ron will be at tech to answer your question.

There will be a mandatory drivers meeting where all drivers or co drivers will sign in. If you are not signed in no race.


DO NOT SET UP YOUR PIT AT THE NEXT EVENT WITHOUT TALKING TO JIM OR RON.


1. The Driver of record will be responable for all the People in his or her group. and to see they are aware of the rules set force.

2. Entrants, pit crew members and family waive any claim they may have against promotor, its officals when voluntarily participating in event and the BLM.

3. There is a set back for all spectators 150' from the edge of the course.

4. There is a set back rule for Pits of 125' form edge of course.

5. There will be NO Drinking of intoxicating beverages in the pits.

6. There will be a speed limit thur Start Finish and some outline areas on the course during the race of 50 MPH.

7. There will be a speed limited of 15 MPH in the Pits during the race.

8. There will be a speed limit of 40 MPH at all road crossing, starting at road crossing marking to pass crossing.

9. When Start/Finish is set up and no race has started and people are around there will be a speed limited of 30 MPH thur all the start/finish area if you come with 50' of people the speed goes to 15 MPH. testing will be done at 200' Pasts
the end of the Start/Finish area no racing what so every in the Start/finish area.

10. At any time any where on BLM property race or no race the speed limit within 50' of people is 15 MPH

11. during the race it is the responablity of the driver to report right away to MORE of anyone on the course or not following the setback rules

12. any team that give a monitor or crossing worker, any lip or trouble will be DQ right away.

13. If you have trouble during the race you are to get off the course as much as possible and out of the way of danger

14. There will be no one in the pits that has not sign a release. the driver of record is responable for this.




The following are m.o.r.e. rules

1. You will agree to all of the above rules If you don't understand something come talk to jim.

2. iF YOU NEED TO DO TESTING ON YOUR CAR/TRUCK AT NIGHT DO SO AT THE END OF THE PITS GOING OUT AWAY FROM THE PITS. AFTER MIDNIGHT THERE WILL BE NO RUNNING IN THE START/FINISH AREA. fIRST TIME YOU WILL BE WARNED THE SECOND TIME THE SHERIFF WILL ASKED YOU TO LEAVE YOUR MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED
TO BE ALLOWED TO RACE AGAIN WITH MORE YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO MANNED A ROAD CROSSING FOR TWO EVENTS.


AS THE WEEK GO BUY THERE WILL BE MORE ADDED TO THIS AS THE BLM IS NOT DONE YET.

I don't know how that rule applies exactly, but I know that I won't screw it up, because I'm just going to leave the beer at home....too many people watching this race like a hawk to be getting wasted, I'll stick with the water and gatorade for one race.

Has anyone seen a course map? I tried to find it, but came up empty.

Yeah, I hope they have speed limit signs. I'll be getting confused as to which area is what speed. lol This race is starting to look like not so much fun.

Wow maybe they can think of 1 speed limit for everywhere to make it easy to remember lol. I should be able to make it to help said driver of truck....Not sure if I should say who sheeshh lol

They are going to come by and check everyones pits. So they know what the camp is and what the pit is. Our main pit is going to be at mm 3? I think. We don't pit in the main pits. We have to have the pit at 125' and the camp set back to 150'.

im kinda feeling the same way, like i dont want to be the one that screws up, and im planning on bringing no beer to this race i think i can make it one weekend without out it

I am also hearing there is a wavier that needs to be filled out for everyone under 18

I'm planning on bringing enough beer for all! and I will be set up 250' from course with an open bar. JK! JK! seems a little rough to alot of people but this is less than what I expected for an outcome. You have to think about the eyes that will be on us all from every direction. keep it casual and after the race everyone just has to park there rides and celebrate.

looks like I'm not going to vegas anymore so I will try my hardest to help out said driver and vehicle and not start my morning with a bloody mary, bacon and eggs anymore. just bacon and eggs lol. once again I KID I KID
