Amazing that the 1400/1450 crowd hasn't jumped on this one. First 25 entries are FREE courtesy of FiberworX. Now's the time to enter and make sure we keep racing alive.

What's to think about? Get your entry in now. Let it be known that this is a professionally run race. BLM will be out in force and no stupid stuff will be allowed. That is how this series has always been run. This is just general info so everyone gets the message. Let's bring a positive face to Off Road Racing so we can continue to have fun and competition in our local desert's.

And in the spirit of racing, Buggy Dork's are going to take this race... Just sayin'

Let's all go out and have a great weekend. I hear the race is going to something differant and fun. If you haven't raced a DRIVE race come out and see what the enthusiasm is about. It isn't your typical Plaster City race, likely places you've never seen before.

Good luck to all the racers and let's have some fun.

I just want to make sure everyone understands how the 25 free entries for the 1450 class will work. You must be rgistered for the race and paid in full before the drivers meeting. At the end of the drivers meeting on Saturday we will put all the names "in a hat" and draw 25. At the end of the race will will right you a check for the amount you paid minus the $20 survey fee. Everyone has to pay the survey fee.

It's not the first 25 that register on line or anything like that.

    Thanks,

    Doug

Is the survey fee the same thing as the $20 Annual Membership Fee? Does everyone that races in the truck need to pay the Annual Membership Fee or just the DOR?

The starting order draw and free entry cut-off date is about 2 weeks away. We have a fresh prep and are looking at a couple of options.

    What is "Gran Prix style"?

I dont think this is a Grand Prix style race, but the one last year was run in heats with particular classes and was about a 7 mile loop.

What are the details on the race? How many miles? How big of a loop?

Because they came about because of the way MDR was running the races down in Plaster City. There plan is to run races like the old Fud races were run. I highly doubt the will run any races outside of Imperial Valley. They have done joint races with SNORE though.

There is a $20 survey fee that is charged at each race. All the groups that race in Plaster CIty collect a fee including District 38. One time a year we charge a annual membership fee of $20. All DOR and Co-drivers have to pay the membership fee once a year. Hope that answers your questions.

It's very similar to Battle at Primm or the code Jacume race. Multiple heats.

We switched the format to a Gran Prix style. There is a lot of things going on since the tradgedy and right now a shorter couse with multiple heats is the best way to go in my opinion.

What are the details on the race? How many miles? How big of a loop?
We are planning a loop of abut 12 miles. Each group will do 4 laps per heat x 2 heats. The first heat will be run in day light. The second heat will be run in the dark so that we can all escape the heat.

It depends on how many entries there are in 7200....if there aren't any then we will enter in 1400.
