Default SNORE 250 - October 2nd in Pahrump, NV

So who is going to be there? We have changed our plans and are planning on being there. This race will be a unique experience for anyone that runs any of the "Local" series.

The race is a 204 mile single loop race starting in Johnnie, NV (after a parade from Pahrump) and finishing in the parking lot of the Pahrump Nugget hotel. The race will have 7 pit areas that can be run as static pit but is also chasable via the highway. A drastic change from the static pit, lap race mentality. We are getting excited to do it cause its the closest thing you will find to a Mexico or BITD chase race without the $2000 entry fee.

So who's in? Slater, McMurray, rest of the AZ boys. Hope to see you guys there.

We are racing!! need some redemption from our 10 miles of racing at Ridgcrest! We tore down truck completly and just about back together for some testing

Sounds like a fun race and like you said more fun for the crew!

Good to know. There aren't many of us that have raced SNORE this year from DR. I missed BAP and Caliente but should be at the rest of the races. Where are you guys staying? We have reservations at the RV Park across from the Nugget.

We are staying at Saddle west. The Nugget was all booked up along with most other hotels there. They said there is some other event going on that weekend other than the race.

Today Slater you are correct it was like 115 and muggy!!

As of last night our car is almost ready to go. Our crew has been busting balls the last couple of weeks and really banged it out quick. Still 3 1/2 weeks til race day

All indications are that this race will be relatively fast and fun with some rough.

How about overall qualifying? You start based on your qualifying time and not what class you are in

Too bad only the TT's and 1's Qualifying this race. You could sneak up on some people in that beast of yours. I know on a fast course I stand no chance with any V8 car.

SNORE said last race there would be qualifying for everyclass at every race if your class had 10 or more entries? So this is not true?

yes it sucks they are not doing it for this race. When you start catching the cars in front of you in less than a mile that started 20 seconds before you its rediculous

Also at RATR it would be awesome to do qualifying so you can start where you belong in the 1450 class. Im guessing we will have 40+ trucks there and with qualifying you can earn clean air.

Kind of a moot point now for the SNORE 250. They did not get their permit for Qualifying so no classes will be qualifying for this one.

no qualifying means you dont have to get there super early jerry!

this is now the "honeymoon 250" due to the fact Mike B. from Wicked C. is getting married that friday, and everyone that is racing (i think they have 5 cars entered, along with me, and a bunch of the king guys) will be there for the wedding, then off to the race that night!

Andrea and I are very sorry for your families loss, he seemed like a great guy that will be missed. No problem pushing it back and shooting for another fun race.

I want to go, but i might be attending the chapparal sale now lol

    Pat,
Any info on the spectator area/s? I just double checked the website, course map isn't out right? Debating on whether or not to make the drive out for the day, hinging on what there is to see.

Appreciate any info you can share!
