Money was invented for spending, and think of all the Cabellas points Bozzano could get with that upgrade.
Last I heard Precision Gear was working on some axle shafts using some crazy Military super alloy that supposedly puts 300m to shame. They posted a bit about it on Pirate, but I can't find the thread at the moment, mite be worth looking into as a cheaper solution than full kill TT sized stuff.
How many miles were on the axles? We went through 4 sets of the 45 spline axles in Caspino's truck in seven races. In fact the axles that we ran at the bluewater desert challenge were brand new before the race and failed mag after. Maybe 200 miles on them including testing.

I don't think its the housing. We are running a heat treated Tubeworks 4" housing. Same housing they run in the Trophy trucks. It makes no where near 700 HP. The new motor is closer to 500-550.

we probably had between 800 and 1000 miles on them...they were new from the mint.....and were mag'd 3 times through the season...passing every time....thats crazy about daves truck.
as for housing straightness, i can slide the drive plates on with ease so i know the housing is straight.
also, our motor makes 550hp and 450lbft tq @8k rpm.....its a 5.3L chevy. we do run very aggressive rear tires and i think thats part of the issue along with the gnar torque.
man i wish we would of got to make this our first race... got to meet our competition in the 7 class.. lots of full tube trucks pushing lots oh horsey's... was expecting those to all be in bitd... but it will be fun...i hope funds and time get us to BAP for the start of the season

ok so im just throwing this out there, but i was just working on the truck and it wouldnt run, doing the same thing as at the race, so i put 10 gallons of gas in and it ran. now there is nooo way in hell i was out of gas in 50 miles with a 32 gallon cell. im wondering if just maybe someone decided it would be a good idea to suck gas out of my tank at night while no one was at the pit. does anyone know someone who would be that low?? just sayin. but hopefully im wrong and somehow my v6 can burn a gallon of gas in 1.5 miles
you didnt check to make sure it had fuel at the race?
Go Hard Or Go Home............ But Never Go Home Hard
The purpose of life is not to arrive at the grave with a well preserved body, but to slide in sideways, completely used up, screaming, what a fucking ride~!
o man i forgot to check my fuel level before the race and i was empty!!! so my dumb ass had to run to the gas station like 30 min b4 stageing lol. i had a problem with getting fuel to my motor b4 and it was the pick up line where the hose meets the fitting to exit my fuel cell and it kept running like it was out of fuel unless i had a compleatly full tank. dont know if thats what yours was doing, but maby check that out. and if someone stole your gas that fucked up.
Had a bad pickup before with the same problem also. Anything less than 3/4-full tank it wouldn't run. The line was bad just below the fitting in the cell. Common problem.

i"ve had a ton of problems with my cell. never was a broken pick up tube but my friend did have that happen. i've had the tube loop back to the top of the tank so the tank had over half but wouldn't pick it up. i've had it suck to the bottom of the tank and just plain not pull gas because the fuel pump was to far away from the cell. my problems didn't happen until the cell was 2-3 years old. hope any of that could possibly help.
God's giving me the desire for off-road, *i want to repay him by spreading what he has done for evryone. * * * * saved by faith!! John 3:16 and Psalm 91 read it and see what it say's.

Nice meeting you guys too. Saturday we had fuel tube pickup issues just like everyone was talking about above. Sunday we got 2nd for the day. We were not planning on making BAP this year but the guys really want to go so we might go and race HM but no 1450. Hopefully be riding with Vance for that race!
