Will be interesting to see how many entries this race gets compared to RATR. Im guessing half at best unless SCORE runs the same course SNORE has put together which didnt happen last year...
I will go out on a limb and say 110 entries total for this race. I think I am being generous with my number, but we will see come race day.

There will be 60-70 tts and class 1s alone, even if only they were there it still be worth going to. There is going to be a lot of close fast racing.

With as rough as laughlin is and how hard everyone pushes it I'm not suprised they want the shorter race, it UPS the chances of finishing. Maybe more 1450 racers could have finished ratr if they had done the short laughlin course and been able to run both days because they hadn't broken. I don't think I have ever really heard anyone who races score complain that laughlin was too short especially after the race when the truck is beat to hell and everyone is tired from pushing so hard. generally by last lap of laughlin my dad is normally complaining that we still have another lap left and he is worried about breaking something because of how hard we have been pushing. I really find it funny when people who don't race the race complain about how the race is too short and try convincing others not to go because they don't like a race they don't race anyways. If u don't like it then don't go, don't worry about what races others are doing.

The race is fun either way, but you cannot compare Sals 5 mile course vs. SNOREs 13 mile course. I have raced both, and choose not to race a 5 mile lap anymore. It is the same either way as Sal has you run more laps on his 5 miler than SNORE does on the 13. So the mileage washes out. The difference is though that those 5 miles get destroyed vs. just a rough 13. I think if the SCORE racers were given a choice they would rather run the 13 miler everytime. But Sal has not listened to his racers for years so it won't happen even though his numbers are dropping while other series, that listen to the racers and try to give them what they, are rising.

The fact that 70 trophy trucks and class 1s would destroy the road crossings might have something to do with it. Also is there some snore race I'm not aware of the same day as laughlin If not who cares what snore did they are not competing for entrys so it doesn't matter.

The LDC drew MUCH higher entries over the years as compared to now. When they had the longer course that used the road jumps they didn't destroy the road crossings even with three to four times the cars. You are correct about one thing though, The two series don't compete for entries. If they did Sal would get shut out. 300+ entries vs. 100 is not a competition. I just feel bad for the racers, in that Sals own greed will not allow them to race on the whole course. But then again.... It's his race. If he can't see the numbers falling and want to do something about it, then that is his deal.

I'll be there, LDC is always a good time! My Dad and I go every year, we go down to the races, put back a couple cold ones and enjoy the show. We hit the races on the Laughlin side and then head over to Bullhead to go shooting out in the desert off of the 95, past the dump area.
Good times!
