Thread: MDR Update

I contacted Patricia asking for a status of racing in 2011. She said the CHP report is to be released in January, at which time the BLM will process their permits (sounded positive but no real info there other than they plan to have races next year!).

She also said she would like more input regarding the meeting the BLM is going to have in January about new requirements. She hopes we are sending input directly to the BLM but she'd love to have the input as well. I seem to have missed the proposed rules but we only have until January to be heard.

Personally I will support MDR as much as I can next year as far as racing. I assume the car counts will be low, but maybe that means I can win a race!

Thats good news. My brother plans to race a few MDR races next yr also since DRIVE appears to be going under.

if they make a come back i will be racing with them asap

very good news that they aren't going under. i want to try to make it out to more races next season

Hopefully it all works out. I really dont wanna have to race 1400 in MORE just yet. MDR was a good fit for me due to budget and class.

If they are back I'll be shocked especially w/ the new recovery fees to BLM. However, if they make a comeback, I'll be racing fo sho. I still have the MDR sticker on my work van.

I just hope people don't sue the pants off of them and ruin any chance of recovery. It seems like our sport is getting harder to enjoy and its only going to get worse. I still fly an MDR sticker on my ranger. I hope they can get things back on track for 2011 and we can make some more memories.
