Think outside the box. The truck has raced with and without the leafs installed. And its not a very big one. Check it out at tech with new paint and sponsorship.

Its gonna be rough, rocky, and hot but not 500 hot, someone in the first limited classes will get stuck, there will be a log jam after fried clutches, and the nationals will have their 4x4 Toyotas at the top strapping people who cant quite make it up the hill for a few 20 dollar bills.

My team and I will be there around RM 320 pitting for RPI, Flying Dutchmen, and maybe RG. Never been to Matomi before, always stayed north towards SF. Heading down Thursday, coming back Sunday. Say hi if you see us, will have SPEED Energy and 3006 decals on the trucks.

How do you guys get to the coast to pre run? Me and my friends want to do some coast sections on our bikes.
Might be a stupid question but i've never ridden south of Ensenada.

Go south on the 1 to RM 550ish, youll see the vineyard road on your left, go just south of that (technically that short stretch of highway is the course) and maybe a mile after that youll go right on a dirt road that takes you out to the beach. You can run that north to Santa Tomas and it drops you right behind the Palomar restaurant down the hill from the Ivan shortcut. Thats really the only coast run, everything after that works back inland towards Ojos and has some pretty gnarly silt hills. I might head down there early on Wednesday and run it.

Agreed. The last time I rode that section was when the course went north from the vineyard to the silt hill on the way to the beach. Been a while. Im still not 100% on making it down there on Weds but if that works and you guys can make it that early Id be down to ride with you guys.

It took Lyle like 3 or 4 hours to go retrieve the truck around RM177 in the Storm Trooper at the 500 this year. So from the highway it was about 15 miles and it took that long. That long back loop is pretty F'ed. Bring some spare tires for sure
