SCORE announces ticket info for three spectator areas
For upcoming 18th SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge
Entries from 15 U.S. states and six countries expected for Rounds 1 & 2 of 2012 SCORE Desert Series
LOS ANGELES—Acting in response to the restructuring of the popular season-opening event, SCORE International has announced that it has taken over the spectator ticketing portion of the event as well as the racing for this coming weekend’s 18th Annual SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge. Always producing the racing portion of the event, SCORE was forced into this position when the Laughlin Tourism Commission elected this year to not continue the management of the spectator areas of the event.
SCORE has decided to use the all three of the spectator areas as the last several years—the start/finish line area at the Laughlin Events Park, the SCORE Hill overlooking the infield area of the start/finish line area, and the ‘Cougar Corral’ located adjacent to the west end of the course by Laughlin High School.
General admission, per person, per day, will be $10 for the start/finish and infield area, $5 for the SCORE Hill and $5 for the ‘Cougar Corral’.

IF score is trying to destroy Laughlin Desert Challenge for spectators. Mission accomplished..... No grandstands, No leap, No beer, No vendors, no side by side starts.... way bummed.

Bring your own beer, there was still a ton of close racing even with the spread out start. The course was awesome and I had a great time racing. Yes the leap and grandstands would have been nice but that is laughlin chamber of commerce's decision not scores, they have always been the ones responsible for that.

I'm just bummed that it was not like last year. You had a great race on Saturday. Good luck tomorrow.

Super fun and exciting race! I had just as much fun this year as I have had all the previous years! Im thankful for SCORE putting this even on and doing what they can to keep it going. Just my opinion. The racing was awesome, the high school was the best spot to be at hands down. Heard about TT #16's incident over the radio and 3min. after that the 2 TT's rolled it was nuts! Simon5ay5 how did you guys do? And anyone know what happened to Justin Davis?

It was a fun race, we pushed the truck pretty hard the first lap and worked our way threw a bunch of slower trucks then just backed off and ran a comfortable pace to keep our lead. I can't wait to see the videos/photos from the race, I saw a helicopter flying over us filming as we were working our way threw a pack of 7-2 trucks.

heard justin davis was having electrical problems with the ecu and wiring harness or some shit like that
I don't always go to races...but when i do, i prefer dezert racing.
On Saturday Green Army had problems with the ECU wiring. got it fixed for Sunday where we went from starting second to last and got up to 5th (i think) physically, when a mechanical failure took us out of the race. Justin was going fast, driving the car as fast as it would go and I'm pretty sure they were in the lead on time when the car broke. it was a weird fluke failure that wasn't a problem before. They'll get it figured out and the car will be better then ever for Parker.

Well, we ended up getting 1st both days in our class because everybody is too scurred to race laughlin i guess. Regardless we ended up 5th in time out of 45 trucks in other classes so i guess we did well. Gathered some points for the season. Truck ran flawless except a simple problem with the power steering on the last lap of the first day.
