yeah i wouldnt expect rules to get started on until after the expo. Richer Racing is trying to finish their truck before the expo.

Probably... Mikey was telling him to get off his ass and write the rules at the expo.

Some possible rules I've been thinking about:
-Overall cost of parts AND vehicle must be below $500.
-If, at the end of the race, any other driver wants to buy your vehicle, you MUST sell it for $500.
-Must be a vehicle with 4 wheels, can be 2 or 4WD.
-Must have seat(s), 4 point seatbelt(s) and a 4 point roll cage constructed of a minimum of 1.75" .120 mild steel. (possible requirement to weld 360*?)
-Any tires, engine, lockers, etc may be used, but it must be included in the overall $500

Any other suggestions?

I got mine. $200 chevy 1500 longbed. Looks like poo. Handles like a cadi. Ask James aka Roost the moon.

Actually it's my pops truck, but if he want's to enter the event then I'm all for it.

Plans would be some bilstien 5100's, alotta weight removal, simple cage, and possibly some better tires. Oh, and yerr all still going down.

why dont you guys sell the trucks after maybe a series if your gonna do more than one a year? that way you race the same one, kinda maintain it, then sell it to someone else lookin to join the fun? just a thought

you will have 500 in tube alone... = fail

$500 for 60-80' of 1.75" mild? It's only a simple cage... 2 main tubes, 2 spreaders, and a diagonal behind the driver... If I'm underestimating the cost, what would you suggest?

This so died didn't it. Damn, even if a third of the people saying they would build a truck actually did it....it would have been cool.

Its not dead yet,and it might make a full recovery, since ASCC is going to have a low budget stock class at speedworld.

I would like to see all the rigs out in the dezert mobing
to see what stock truck does the best. Sounds better
than stealing a car taking it joy rideing fliping it and walking
back 5 miles. Lol. Somebody need to get it started.

Boo to everyone that was supposed to create this "class". I was looking forward to the craziness and it seemed like it had momentum for a minute. Oh well...we don't really need a sticky for a dead thread do we Mods?
