Tell you what, you can ride with me if I do tough trucks. It's a fullsize so it won't be the quickest rig out there but it'll be fun.

I like the idea of getting a beater truck and racing it, kinda like the jeep guy. We should get a bunch of teams of 2-3 people together and build our own tough rigs! The limit we can spend including mods will be $500! Who's in?!?!

I've already started talking to people about this. Not sure if I want to do a ranger...bug or jeep...

Strip it, build A and B pillar hoops, lots of white rocket shocks and open headers

We might have to start a new thread stating the rules of the "tough rig" class. I say 2wd truck, any motor, and susp as long as it's $500 and under INCLUDING PRICE OF VEHICLE. I could see Top Gear doing something like this Now that I think about it $500 might be a little cheap, maybe $750? Each person in a team puts down $250 towards purchase? We can also do side bets

As for having to be a truck, I would have to say yes. WGAS might stick us in with the buggy class the following day which would be no bueno.

BUT... we can pretty much enter anything with an engine and wheels in tuff trucks. If we do desert, it has to have a semi legit cage, fuel cell, harnesses etc

I'm definitely in!!! I just figured the fair would be better because there would be a "show" when we all "raced" around the track. It'll make for good spectating. Either way i'm down for it. RicherRacing will provide some bbq-ables.
