im looking at the new 2011-2012 sti's and just curious what your option is as to DD im getting tired of a 3500 silvy as my DD (keep in mind this would be my first car ever owned out of 11 vehicles) so room/comfort compared to a crew cab full size is a must plus a good size trunk and i do not want to deal with the dealership until the time comes
unless you have had or do own one, i can care less about what you have to say
if you have but sold it..why??

I have a 2011 WRX. I love it. I have owned many trucks and SUV's over the years. I cant speak about the STI drivability but the body and interior is is pretty much the same. I have two kids 4 and 6 and the hatch has plenty of room for all of us to go on a weekend trip. You can fit three suitcases + in the back. I get about 23 MPG but would expect the STI to get a few less depending on how hard you drive it. Good luck!

The ride is pretty much the same as any sti with stock suspention, and there is a ton of room in the trunk. I'll take you for a ride if you are ever in SD.

Forgot to mention that the stereo and blue tooth is terrible. If that is important than you will want to upgrade soon. I don't really care about the radio but the hands free sucking is a bummer. That really is the only bad thing I can say about the car. If your ever in Vegas you're welcome to take it for a spin.

i was thinking of getting the limited one with nav. just cause i dont wanna buy a new gps (mines a couple yrs old) and it comes with a little sub or whatever (plus the other little extras)but i was thinking of just upgrading the speakers to MB quarts cause a nice stereo is pretty high on my list but not a deal breaker and can really care less about the blue tooth
thanks for the offer, wish i was really thinking about the car when i was at Primm the other weekend haha

fixing the stereo in the newer ones is a must, but the nav ones are pretty nice! also I'd suggest looking into a Cobb Accessport and put it to Stage 1 when you get it to get rid of the crummy OEM tune. It likes to eat ringlands.

+1 on going with a Cobb ap right off the bat, if you don't have a warranty. Anything from 07+ has a shity stock tune, that fries your ringlands.

Looks clean. Whats done to it? I would also try and do a leak down/ compression test before you buy to make sure all is good. Also check the tranny. 02 had a glass tranny 03 was a little better but still didn't like too much power..

bone stock motor, just a exhaust with catless dp, 05 bumper and 07 tails, sti skirts, scoop, trunk and wing, rota wheels, H6 brakes, kartboy rear diff.

plan is to take it straight to cobb for compression and leakdown.
hawkeye front end, then sti tranny swap. then down the road maybe do some motor work.

sounds pretty clean. and that tranny swap if you do it will be amazing way stronger.
