    Default BajaBumpers.com

I just picked up my Baja Bumper from Doug over here in Arizona. They guy is a great guy to work with, very good with communication. I told him a few details that I wanted/needed from my bumper and he was more than willing to accommodate my needs.

He makes bumpers for most Toyota trucks as well as Ford Rangers.

In any case I will post pictures once the bumpers painted and installed.

There is also a group buy going on through a different forum. If your interested in a bumper check it out or call Doug direct, 623-866-3089. Tell him Oliver sent you and he will give you a great deal!

Just looked at the pics withour paint. You guys are getting ripped off. That is all seamed tubing which is dirt cheap and the guy is charging $600-700 for that? Wow. Probably cost him $125 to build that with the skid plate.

This is a shop review thread. The reviews for this shop suck hence the shit talking. Sorry its not all sunshine and double rainbows. I'm going to have to agree with you the bumper could take a hit, and after it did, the skid plate and the radiator support are going to be taco'd. (Fart noise, thumbs down) FAIL

Big companies probably get shipping discounts too. Plus the bigger something is the more it costs to ship and bed sides are huge.

I don't think most are hating on the mild steel part more of a ugly ass design and lack of flow of tubing.

i only use seamed mild for bumpers, anything else is a waste of money to me, but that is the least of the problem here lol

I used mild and a friend gave me the 1/4 aluminum. I'm probably under a hundred into mine considering how cheap mild is and the frame horns are built from free metal I found in the metal shops recycle bin. Oh and it unbolts. Also my light bar costs me around $20 to build, plus the lights, which aren't really Hellas. They are Autozone lights with Hella stickers.

Hey if the customers dig the bumpers than so be it. But the massed produced from China bullshit is lame. They should be made here in USA and I'll even give Baja rights to build bumpers granted that they are supervised by a competent fabricator. China is lame. I had a guy quote me $1600.00 for a simple tube bumper with no loop or tabs for lights. Now thats ridiculous. Mass produced bumpers are lame. But if the customer wants it then so be it. I found someone here on this site that built my bumper and I'm totally happy with it. I go locally when I can.

So I think the conclusion of this thread should be, if you buy this bumper you are over paying and you will get made fun of for the way it looks. Ask around on DR for someone who fabs near you because it will be probably be cheaper, probably look better, and I guarantee they will need your money, because no one gets rich from garage fabing, so you will be helping someone out in the process.
