    Default Offroad warehouse

Just wanted to rant. I recently bought all new balljoints/control arms/tie rods/EVERYTHING to rebuild my suspension on my 2002 ford f150. I needed to replace my shocks aswell so i called ORW to order all new billstiens. I only have a few days off a month so I told them i would only order the shocks from them if i could have them at my house within a week by saturday. (i called on monday) they told me no problem i would have them at my house my thursday! My only day off was sunday so this worked out really well. Dude tells me he will call me in a few hours with a tracking number. I recieve no call. Thursday comes.. Nothing. Friday comes.. No shocks! I call ORW. They tell me they havent picked up the shocks yet because bilstien is taking too long. They say they have the rears in but the fronts will be ready and shipped that day. (friday) so i think.. Fuck, should have them by mon/tues hopefully then ill take a day off to put all this shit on. Guy tells me he will call or email me with a tracking number within the hour. No call or email.. I call back ORW @ 4pm friday to make sure my shocks were picked up and shipped. Guy tells me bildtien only had 1 front shoxk made and it could take weeks for the other one! Are you fucking kidding me?? Was anyone planning on calling me to let me know? He tells me they have bilstiens available in house that will work for my truck that i could get but they are more expensive. Keep in mind They already charged my card on monday for the ones i was supposed to get. The "new" ones are for 7 lug f150s.. Mine is a 5 lug.. Guy says there is no difference so i say fuck it, charge my card the extra $ and send my shit! Monday comes.. No shocks. I call for a tracking # to make sure they were sent. They give me a tracking #.. it doesnt work. They tell me because its new in the system and takes a few hours for fedex to recognize the tracking #. Makes sence to me.. I check it tues.. Still doesnt work. I check it this morning.. No tracking # found per fedex. I call orw. They give me a different tracking # and say they checked and my shocks will be at my house TODAY. I hang up and go on fedex to check the number myself.. Says shocks were sent out yesterday. Exp date of delivery is 15 apr. FUCK! I will be doing army field training from the 15th-26th so im screwed. The point is, off road warehouse sucks ass. They have shitty communication and charge you for shit they dont even have. Had they of told me they couldnt have them for a few weeks.. No big deal, ill see if some other company has them. But they didnt. They lied and wasted my time. Dont buy from them! /end rant

I had the same problem ordering my intake. I told the manager I only wanted to make an order if I didn't have to wait over a week. Well long story short, and lots of pissed off phone calls later I got my kit over a month later. When they finally got the kit, it arrived at the wrong orw, and they said it will take about a week to get it shipped to their store. Let's just say I had it that same day they tried to tell me that.

I hate orw and I will never buy anything their again even if it is more convenient I will drive out of my way to not give them my business.

Actually, they don't. Not the ones in Barstow or Las Vegas anyway because I checked.

My point is, they need to give thier customers a call and let them know whats going on. Im not mad cause I had to wait weeks and weeks for something they promised me within a matter of days,(actually never got what I ordered and paid for) Im mad because they never let me know there were problems (multiple) until I called them. Its just not the way to treat customers IMO.

Wow you guys, your lives suck.

I ordered from ORW, and by the end of the week, I got them personally delivered, from the hands of Kevin's wife, at my front door.

    Thanks again Kevin!

Good for you. You obviously got special treatment. Has nothing to do with thier everyday transactions.

Just an FYI but it is against Visa/MasterCard regs for them to charge your card before shipping the goods.

This is why I always deal with the smaller local shops. If you're in San Diego and need a good ORW alternative, Fibertech is awesome.

problem is ORW hires fucktards who think they know, when they actually dont know shit, an ORW experience can be painful
i have called for specific parts just to have them tell me it wont work at all or not without giving them more money
i called for a set of springs, specifically asked for just springs, then the guy tells me the springs wont work without getting the arms too, i told him bullshit he was wrong and he copped and attitude threw out a price and hung up, i called back and talked to the manager who of course said sorry and tried to fix the issue by checking on the springs which happened to be $60 more than the first guy quoted me and higher than ORW's cost, and higher than the manufacturer direct prices

if they dont have it in stock dont waste time ordering it

you should have called bilstein directly

Thanks Shaun, again I truly apologize for the salesmen and I'm glad we were able to get it all worked out. Customer service is everything, I been reading some of the other posts that had some bad things to say about ORW and all I can really say to them is that those salesman are most likely no longer with ORW. Fabtech LT kit dang was that back in the late 90s or what? But what I'm trying to say is that the staff we have now is some of the most professional and knowledgeable guys that I have worked with. I'm personally always on the forum and if there is ever anything that you need help with or something you have a question on shoot me a PM. We offer a DR discount and when I can I try to do better on some of our prices.

Also a thanks to 3.0ranger1227 for the good rep.

I've had a shitty experience with ORW years ago which will keep me from ever shopping their again. Long ago they had the best price I could find on a pair of PRP seats I needed for my old race truck. I called to check stock and price and they said they had a pair at their main location is San Diego. So I leave at 4am to get their as soon as they open cause I had a class at noon. FYI I live in Ventura County (or as some of you think Nor Cal) I arrive a few minutes early and go in as soon as they open and guess what i see...the price is $40-60 (I can't remember it was so long ago) more per seat then their advertised website price. So I talk to the dude working the desk and he give me some bull shit on how it's an internet price only, so I say cool if their a computer near by? I'll pay for them in your website and leave with them right now. I says no that's the internet price only and they HAVE to be shipped which is like $100 or some shit. At this point I was pissed. I asked to speak to the manager. I told the manager and the dude originally helping me that I called yesterday to double check price and availability and they quoted me the internet price and told me your store had them in stock and I drove 4 hours to pick these seats up. After some arguing the manager basically tell me to pack sand and the price is what it is and I can take it or leave it. So I buy them in hopes I can call the internet side of ORW later that day and get a refund for the difference. After fighting with them for hours they say the best they can do is meet me in the middle and refund me only 1/2. WTF! How can you advertise a price and quote a price over the phone but not deliver when the customer is their to buy the product. So basically they screwed me out of $40 or $60 (again I don't remember the exact amount) so I tell everyone I know not to shop there.

And Mick if you have a shitty experience with ORW, why does it matter how long ago it was? I'm sure it's still the same owner running the stores and bringing in the revenue. Let people know so they don't make the same mistake as you.

I had a really bad experience. Spent thousands and thousands of dollars there over the years and was treated very poorly. Thats all anyone on dr needs to know. If anyone wants details for some reason, PM me.

If this is Nick posting I had a great experience with him. Sent a PM one day got a reply with a few hours then a phone call to place the order for all my coils, coilover hardware, bump stops and cans and had them by the end of the week and was very happy with their service. Even ordered a few things after that just because the customer service.

Fickle nature of customer service. Happy people don't typically take the time to write or share their experience. For ANY business. Usually the people who write are writing because they had a negative experience and it tends to make it sound like EVERYTHING is bad when really that's not always the case. Hence in my opinion always taking negative feed back with a grain of salt. There is a big difference between a person having a negative individual experience and a company doing a poor job.

Anyway, that said, when I ordered my fuel cell through Nick and ORW I appreciate their help. The first cell arrived damaged from shipping. Within a day or two Nick had a new one ordered and on the way to me, no questions asked.

I want to first thank all of you guys for the good feed back. I understand these things happen, I was a customer once too and still am I've got a project Ranger of my own. I know a lot of you guys are local to at least 1 of our four stores and if there is any thing you ever need let me know I have no issue calling one of my stores and having a part put in will call for you to go in and pick up. Sounds like some of you have had good experiences with DEZ (Kevin) and Aaron from our Temecula store, these guys are awesome and are part of the DR forum as well.
