i guess im the only one with a good experience from ballistic. Ive gotten tabs and clamps and such a couple times and things went perfect. I also got some bushings, tabs, misaligns, unis, and cups on a seperate order which all were packaged great, and they threw in a couple free things. The unis did need to be sanded down a bit to fit but its no big deal. Ive been happy with ballistic fab and have had good experience the 3 times i have ordered.

I called to use my credit they owed me and I was on hold for 20 min. Every time they answered I said I was calling to use my credit, and then they would tell me to hold on. I hung up after the 20 min and then called back and said I was calling to place an order and what do you know, they were able to help me right away.

Next day I checked my bank account and they had charged me for the parts!

    STAY AWAY FROM BALLISTIC FABRICATION!!!

Harbor Freight Tools Co. makes every effort to assure that its products meet high quality and durability standards, and warrants to the original purchaser that this product is free from defects in materials and workmanship for the period of 90 days from the date of purchase.........or after one use. After that go screw yourself lol.

I've been calling every other day for a week trying to get my refund and every time I do the guy politely says "I'm sorry about that, I'll get it taken care of, you should see it refunded by 4pm today"

Ordered springs from them one time and they sent 2.5 I'D springs (already took 3 weeks) and needed 3.0s then took forever cause the guys that work there are idiots and didn't understand what I wanted. After finally getting the right sizes
They never asked for the wrong one they sent. Ha

Here is an E-mail I got from Ballistic Fab a couple days ago. Looks like they are liquidating most of their inventory/product line:

BALLISTIC FABRICATION HUGE CLEARANCE STARTS IMMEDIATELY THIS is not a SALE!

In an effort to refocus the company's attention on the customer, Ballistic Fabrication has drastically reduced the number of available items for sale. Over the past 5 years, these items have proven to be slow in sales and simply take up too much time and effort.

Tucson, AZ 12 August 2011 -- After careful review of our business operation, the decision has been made to make drastic changes which will allow our company to again focus on the most important part of our company. The customer! Ballistic Fabrication has reduced its manufacturing product line drastically by cutting parts from their sku line up.

Reducing the product line allows our company to free up time in almost every area. The design team will be able to work on more needed parts for the 4x4 industry, our laser and press brake will not be tied down with as many jobs for parts that end up sitting on the shelf.
By eliminating so much of the added work, we will be able to focus more clearly on the needs and wants of our customers, and be able to process orders more quickly than ever because the parts the customer wants, will be on the shelf! Shocks are still available, but by phone order only.

"Our customers are the number one priority, while we may have lost sight of that for a short time, we are 100% recommitted to the customer and their needs." said Jeff Bullock, President of Ballistic Fabrication, LLC.

Ballistic Fabrication is making the adjustments that are necessary for business. By reducing product, the focus is centered and allows more freedom and flexibility in assisting the customer!

Did you pay by CC or PayPal? If so, don't let them rape you like that, contact PayPal or your CC company and file a complaint.

Ballistic has also been banned from Pirate, and will likely be out of business sooner rather than later, get your refunds and get them quick.

I called to use my credit and at the end of the conversation the sales person said, ok, we are out of those tabs. So I told him, ok, just take them off the order then. He replys ok, then I will just charge your card that we have on file and get everything else out to you. I said no don't charge my card, I have a credit. He says ok, I will look into that and get everything to you. Never told me a total, and I assumed my credit would cover the order since I did the math before hand. A couple days later I see that they charged my card and then when I got the order the tabs I asked him to take off were still on the order and just marked as back ordered.

The order with everything and the tabs I asked them to take off came to $89 shipped. I didn't know the total until I actually received it. My credit was for $75 and that is what I got back even though I explained to them that I wanted a full refund since I asked them to take the tabs off the order. That company doesn't listen to anyone.

I think I might just have to be happy being out $14 after that huge run around. The last 2 times I called to get a hold of their GM Dave, since no one else said they had the power to refund me according to everyone I talked to, I told the person that took my message to tell him that if I don't talk to him or get my refund today I would pursue legal action. It took me 2 more days of calling before I got a hold of him. He never called me back.

I guarantee they will go out of business. I'm a little worried that they have my card information now. Should I be?

What are eveyones guesses on how soon?

How do I refuse to pay if they already took my money. Also I paid with my debit card.

Debit card, you're probably fucked. With a credit card, you call the number on the back of the card and tell them you want to dispute the charges than explain your situation. They refund you the money and Ballistic owes them the $14, and I'm guessing Ballistic owes quite a few credit card companies a decent chunk of change at this point. The CC companies then track the owners of Ballistic to the ends of the earth to get their money.

They took the money a while ago. If I had known to do it within a few days I would have. $14 lesson learned. I've definitely had more expensive lessons. Most recent was a few hundred bucks on a El Camino. Never buy one to flip would be my advice, lol.

For anyone that cares, here is the latest:

    Re-organization of Ballistic Fabrication

    For Immediate Release:

Ballistic Fabrication is best known for its outstanding off-road product line and high quality in-house manufacturing capabilities. Ballistic has faced many adversities over the past few years related to inventory, product delivery and customer service. It is well known in the industry that while Ballistic Fabrication continues to supply large amounts of high quality parts worldwide, the aforementioned deficiencies have created longer than usual lead times in shipping and product delivery. These problems have been attributed in part to extremely rapid company growth which in turn led to inventory control issues.

Ballistic Fabrication has partnered with an investor to bring additional financial stability to the company. In an effort to better serve its customers, Ballistic has invested in a state-of-the-art inventory / shop management system. Ballistic will now be able to effectively manage production and inventory of every specific part in their catalog of thousands of part numbers. This information in turn will be reported live to Ballistics customers via the website. Ballistic hopes that this new system alleviates future confusion and issues related to potential backorders. In addition to these improvements, Ballistic now stocks a complete inventory of raw materials on hand. Ballistic hopes that this will alleviate backorders due to raw material supply shortages. Ballistic Fabrication has also found it necessary to restructure specific key personnel in the management and accounting team.
In addition to these changes, Ballistic has filed for Ch11 reorganization in order to restructure its financial obligations. Ballistic Fabrications lawyer stated the following -
“The past few years presented significant economic challenges to Ballistic Fabrication, LLC. Material costs, shipping costs, and the overall economic downturn are only a few factors that played a role in Ballistics decision to file a petition for bankruptcy relief. Contrary to any rumors circulating, Ballistic will not be shutting its doors. Ballistic will be continuing operations while reorganizing its debts and obligations. This process will not affect Ballistics’ ability to produce quality products and to service its customers. Ballistic and all of its dedicated employees are confident that they will emerge a stronger company.”
Ballistic Fabrication would like to thank its many loyal customers for years of support and looks forward to the opportunity to regain its customers trust and becoming the standard of excellence in the off-road industry.

Fuck Ballistic Fabrication, fuck them a lot. They had a great thng going, got in way over their head, and instead of fixing their issues while they could, they bought a bad ass semi truck, the owner built a sweet 900hp Magnum(wrecked it and then insurance fraud, that's a whole different story), a Faro arm, Fanuc CNC welder, all kings of breaks and mills, then when their problems started to get really bad, they ran huge sales to generate cash-flow, but failed to deliver most of the product. After all that they filed chapter 11, fucked over all the people they owe money to, and now want my business again?

The owners should probably go find a chemical fire to die in.

Dang! I was just about to post that email I received. I could have swore I unsubscribed myself from their emails too.

They lost all their customers a long time ago. They and the company who "invested" with them are idiots who are wasting their time. They should just close their doors like the "rumors" say they are supposed to. I'm still confident it will happen.

While we are damning them to hell, I want to know the gossip about the owner. Do tell!!
