I am pretty sure I know exactly where you guys are talking about. Its right by my grandparents property in Lake Mathews. I have been through that area a few times. You basically take Cajalco and turn on Lake Mathews Drive. Take it all the the way up a windy hill, and as you get to the top it will make a left hand turn and then turn into a LONG stretch of straight road. Right when you hit the start of the long straight section there is a turn off to the right. There are stone pillars that look like they used to be a gated community, but its all run down now. If you go in there there is a somewhat large open area that has a whole bunch of trails, but its nothing that is too much fun. there are trails all over the place, most lead to a place where people go and shoot, or illegally dump there trash. There is one access road that goes down a hill, and you have to cross a little river and like a little mini forest. Actually a pretty cool place to check out, just not the greatest for romping around. Anyways if you go through the forest you will actually get to a legitimate shooting range. Its always closed off and I have never seen anyone shooting there EVER. There is a trail that leads you above the range and there are signs that say not to stop in that area due to the shooting range being below you. I have taken these access roads all the way back through Gavilan Springs area, and even found my way to the 15 fwy and Lake Street exit. However we were stopped by a locked gate, and by then it was dark and foggy so i had to creep my way back home instead of finding another way around.

Like I said its a cool place to check out, but no jumps or anything that I know of. Not the greatest spot for a large meet.

I won't be able to go to this trip as me and a bunch of friends are planning a trip out to Lucerne that weekend.

Here is the basic area I am talking about. If you look at the map there is a dirt road heading West called Arcero Rd. If you follow it west until it makes a 90* turn heading south, that is the road that leads down to the forest, and meets up with Dawson Canyon Road, keep following Dawson Canyon west from there and it hits the shooting range, which is visible from the map.

Yep thats exactly where we were we took cajalco to lake mathews, we went threw that stone stuff, it gets pretty cool if you go up the hill in the back theres alot of stuff on the other side but its mostly a spot for dirt bikes and idk how many 2wd trucks will make it up there so i say

I think i remember meeting you at his shop your truck was still in the stages of getting completed. If i remember right your tall and he did some mods to the cage or seats so you could sit comfortably?

The thing with this place is alot of mexican americans like to go down there and pretend like its glamis on there banshees with no helmets,drink and trash the place, and that would cause the copter to come by or a suv sheriff who would write tickets to these dumbasses. I personally have never been harassed by cops or sheriffs down there. Went there last weekend and cops never came. Long story short its illegal to offroad in riverside county, most cops wont enforce it unless you causing a noucence (sp) or someone complains. Chances of getting a ticket are pretty damn slim.

EDIT: The last time i went there it was only a few people down there and it wasnt crazy like it was the past years.

cops wont write you a ticket here the worst that will happen is they will tell us to leave but i haven't seen a cop come down there in about 2 years

I've been in this thing with Ernest... same day as this photo.... All i can say is holy crap, I almost wanted to jump out the window lol. Ernest was hallin the mail thru some stuff you would need a monster truck for, but was smooth as butter lol... Its was my first time a linked truck, and I had no clue you could go so fast thru some stuff.
