if you are in good dry pack they are ok but if it's wet slush/icy they suck my friend has some on his 150 and he won't go into the snow with it now because of how it handled in it he rode up with me when we went up to the cabin to go snowmobiling last time because of how they were when he drove with them. made me glad i didn't buy them

My vote is for Hankook dynapro MT's. Price is not as expensive as BFG. Not loud on the freeway and not too heavy compared to other tires out there. check em out

What exactly are the yellow label Goodyears? I'm thinking about buying the new tread MTRs to replace my old style MTRs. Actually I want the red label Grabbers but have been waiting 2 months already and don't know if I'll ever see them.

So far I like my generals, a little loud but I didn't get stuck in glamis with them and they seemed decent in Barstow.

Best dual purpose tire = BFG All Terrains
Best pure desert tire = BFG Baja TA's (2 flats ever with these running the same tire type on 4 different race trucks over 1000's of miles)
BFG's are just too damn expensive now retail wise. I would go with the General Grabber AT2's on anything dual purpose as they have been great in the applications I've seen, especially longevity wise. I wish they came in a 37!

i wanted those. but i got the Falken rocky mountains. they are the wild peaks but discount tire name or some shit. either way i like them. have yet to test them in any dirt. but dry street i cant brake them loose in the turns. and in the rain they have great traction as well. the videos on youtube about them are great too.

in all the off road mags they love the tire. also i LOVE truckhaven so this is why i picked this tire. i figured it would be perfect. they are one of the top sponcers at TDS.

i got the same size i had before. i wanted the 33s but these 32s are E loaded which is a plus! once i take them to the dirt ill let you all know how it goes with them.

we run them on Mike Foxs race truck. its the heaviest one out there and they hold up amazing and there is plenty of traction. cracked 3 walkers and the tires we still fine. definitly have my vote

I used to have BFG a/t's and went to red labels... Theres a noticeable difference but the red labels are way better on the dirt. One thing that sucks is the grabbers sidewalls are super thick so when u air down in the sand they don't really buldge and grab the sand like a all terrain would

thats one thing ive herd about them. they do really bad in the sand. even at super low psi. if they are worn down a lot they do better.

My grabbers seem to do really good in the sand, when it seems like I'm about to get stuck I just give it more gas and it will spin for a second the pop up on the sand and off I go.

What engine and gears and tire size? My 3.0 w/ 4.10s and 31s wont do that lol. I just keep it pinned at all times in first when in the sand

grabber DOT's 35's are by far the best tire ive owned, have 45k miles on a 4x4 dodge cummins used as a DD, chase, tow beast. they dont bog up in sand, just need a little spin and pulls through. the E load is a huge plus, the generals replaced bfg a/t's (only got 14k out of them doing the same thing)

so far LOVE them. never switching again. no dirt time in them yet, but mud time yes. no pics. but let me tell you these things didnt let me down. about 2 feet of mud and water and these things hooked up. they cleared really well too. i think because of the center tread being open like it is. remind you i have open diffs front and rear. 40psi in the tires. i just got hung up on a little bit of dirt on my cross member. just backed up and hit it harder. other than that these tires did great. also some 2wd mud pits. jacob78 was with me. he had street tires. so i wonder if its just the mud we were in or something. but i know the bfgs would have just left me hanging like they have done in the past.

I bought a set of the then new Falken Wild Peaks 1 year ago this month and they were great on the 1st real run out in the dirt which was the Yermo to Primm at last years BAP. Even the little baby tire size (265) handled the washbeds no problem and the E-load rating definitely gave them the extra strength, but at just less than 20,000 miles, when people see them they think the mileage is closer to 40,000+.

Super disappointed with the purchase and would have rather gone the Yokohama route.

I'm know the months of commuting over the 74 daily contributed to their excessive wear, but you know the saying - "they look good from far, but are really far from good"
