no love for yokohama geolandar a/ts?
Bfg ats are alright. Haven't tried them in sand, but they aren't great on wet surfaces or snow. No complaints in the dirt. They aren't very loud either.

there is also yellow label GSA's, how about TOYO AT's?, i like them better than BFG's,except the extra weight
01' silverado, 6.0L swap... 3k converter...4.56...35's...uniball uppers...dyno tuned 258hp/265tq
the two tires i have ran arent a choice but i will throw em up anyway.
Goodyear old style mtrs, suck in the dirt, someone decent on the street, wear too fast on the street.
Goodyear Gsa, great in the dirt, great on the street, lasted forever, i sold em after using em for a year and they looked like they had probably 85% on them.
Bfg ats are going to my next tires.
I hated my GSAs I ran 37-12.5x17 good traction on hard pack but sucked in sand I love my project krt's now they are just a little loud on the street
just got 33x12.5x15 goodyear duratrac MTRs
road noise is pretty mellow.
still working on the truck so i dont have much input on dezert traction.
they look bitchin tho.

I have 35" bfg a/t on my ranger and they are great in the sand.
My dad also has the same tires but 37's on his super duty and we would cruise the dunes all day with no problem.
35x12.5r15 Baja TA excellent off roadand in sand just need to air down haha I had the Toyo open country MT same size they where loud and not a smooth ride
i have 35x12.50r17 kumho AT and they are awesome. good dirt traction. stop fast and very good road manners. not loud at all on the road and wearing is good
had baja ta's on my old truck loved em in the dirt and sand.. but after you let the truck sit or it gets cold it felt like they had flat spots on em
currently have BFG ATs and like em in sand, snow, rain, mud but dirt not so much...... feel like there breakin loose easily even when deflated

in desperate need on 1 5x4.5 american racing baja.... 15x8 with -19 offset here is the link to them...... HAS to be the 15x8 -19 offsethttp://www.americanracing.com/wheels...upid=3&page1=1
i got 325/75r16 bfg alll terrains t/a and love them had the general tires at2 before them and was impressed with those too but the bfgs are better in my opinion on and off road and i seem to get more life out of them. but i think i want to try some red labels next but 37's this time. damb tires are expensive
So far I have only used BFG A/T's, my only complaint with them is that they are owned by Michelin a French company......I don't know Llloyd the French are assholes...

I'll put my .02 in:
I had the BFG Mud Terrain Old Style, not the KM2. For the price I paid (cheap!), I was happy with them. But for a truck driven mostly on the street, and only 2wd, they were pretty pointless. In sand, they loved to dig in and I got stuck several times, even aired way down in Pismo. Some of those times could have been my fault, but at the same time, people in similarly built trucks in the same location weren't getting stuck.
In the dirt, they loved to break traction, so I would slide through turns instead of grabbing, causing the back end to slide out in a Ken Block-esque drift on multiple occasions. For a mud terrain, they worked well in mud (go figure). I could give the truck some more gas and the mud would self clear from between the lugs, and I could get some traction back. In the rain, as soon as I put my LSD in the rear end, I had to be careful going around turns. I could break the tires loose even accelerating too fast with an open diff. I also had the front end slide out around a turn, luckily it was late enough no one else was around. As the tires wore down more, road nose increased exponentially. I'd find myself having to speak louder to my passenger, turn up the radio more to hear my music, and would keep asking a person to repeat them self during phone calls. Mind you, I go 65-70 on the freeway. Also as they wore more, they were more susceptible to chunking, or getting cut. Many times even going slow through rocky sections I would do a once over at the end of the day and find new cuts, or new chunks taken out of some of the lugs. They never leaked though, which is a good thing.
I got about 30k miles out of them. my camber was off in the front so they probably wore way sooner than they were supposed to, but oh well.
You all know my answer...
But for those that don't:
Red Label Grabbers all the way. quiet, grippy, look good, don't wear too bad, right amount of traction in sand, kinda hard to drift it though lol. no bad tendencies yet. no cutting, no chunking.

We just put a set of the Red Label Grabbers on my buddies Dodge 2500 just before the Mint 400 and as of now he says that they are louder than his old Toyo's. They ball up in the mud but work great for passing everyone in the dirt next to the I15 going into Primm. We will see how long these tires last with the weight of the 2500.

im running 33x10.5 15 BFG AT's on my ranger and i love them. before the 33 i ran 31 and never had issues with them. i put a lot of desert miles on them and never had any flats. one tire even had 3-4 plugs from nails and screws and held up great. they are pretty quiet on the street with all things considered. i think they are pretty predictable in the dirt and the street. tire life was ok not great but not horrible ether. air'd down in glamis and never had issues so they do respectable in the sand IMO. all in all i love these tires, they come in so many sizes to fit what ever application you need and are lighter then some other AT tires so its easier on your truck.
i had bfg at 33s on my ranger, never had any problems with them and thought they wernt bad, they did start to wear kinda funny though. after those i got some hankook ats, those tires were 10x better than the bfg, never got stuck in the sand with them and couldnt lock them up on the street, with the bfg they would lock up all time and almost would want to get sideways.
06 ranger, superstock lt arms, deavers, bad cage, bypasses, and tt bedsides, and blue bead locks to match the paint.
We just got back from taking the Dodge out to the beach for a little test drive on the new tires. These tires hook up in the sand great but have a hard time turning. They like to push more than turn (in the Sand). Over all IMO the Generals are a great tire. Worth every penny.

just blew out my sidewall on those goodyears.
hit a little piece of concrete someone didnt want to take to the dump and pop!
not sure how to feel right now. just kind of pissed and im gunna blame goodyear for the moment.
I haven't tried many tires but I have 37x12.50x17s Baja t/a projects and they have been amazing for me. i drive mostly on the street and they do get flt spots from sitting which sucks, but after like 2 miles they round back out. I am extremely surprised at how well they do in the sand considering the mellow tread design. they obviously suck in the mud which is fine with me. in hard packed dirt they have crazy traction and I found it a little less easy to break them loose to drift (which I kind of like cuz they straight hook up almost like being on a road).
Over all I love my Baja's

i have the race goodyear gsa's on my superduty and i gotta say im not impressed. wear sucks, and i ruined a rim and tire on a rock. couldnt even tell you when it happened cause i didnt notice any impacts big enough to worry. i blame the tire. im also getting crazy chunks and slashes in them that i cant really explain since i have been crawling once on this set of tires and i cant really even call it crawling. more like trailing. mostly ocitillo cruizin on this set. for being 35 lb max tires they arent as stiff as i was hoping. no where near a baja ta or project which will definately be my next tire. oh and they are freakin heavy... but i cant really explain why, they dont seem as beefy as their bfg counter parts
i'm gonna stop saying racist jokes cause racism is a crime and crime is for black people.
Very quiet on the Hwy, great traction off road , wear well , they were a great price but have gone up =(

good year gsa's kick ass
ive had them on my truck for a year and havent shown much wear. feel amazing on dirt, ok in mud, very nice on street and also quiet too
BFG All Terrains. Love them. Plenty of traction and last forever and barely any road noise. 33x10.5x15 on my '98 Tacoma. Have ha 2 flats that couldn't be plug do to the size and location. They were right where the tread meets the side wall. On was a triangular piece of quarter inch steel about 3" long. Left a big hole. The other was a a stick a quarter inch thick that penetrated the sidewall. Couldn't plug it.
I have a second spare in my garage right now that has a nail it in it and it holds air fine, even after a few years.
I started with BFG ATs, they were a good all around tire, but then went with goodyear wrangler silent armor. I was so impressed like I've been missing something I didn't even know about, great in the dirt, sand, rain, snow and I swear they never wore noticeably even till I sold the truck.
Well my 35" bfg a/ts don't do to well when it's raining I've had a few occasions were I'd spin out

i have a huge boner for my 35" BFG ATs on my truck, great on the street and even better in the dirt and mud, ive never tried them in sand though. Not to mention they look sick also. My buddy runs them on his XJ (33s)and his dad runs them on his Duramax (33s)..we definately reccomend them.
Yea I was just playing in the mud in my truck earlier and they do great,I was in that slimy clay mud and my truck is only 2wd with a locker. Never got stuck once

So if anyone wants to know the grabber red labels do work well in mud. Every once in a while you need to put it in 1st and smash the throttle to clear em out but other than that they work as well as anything out there
