What do you think about building up a 4runner with some deavers and some res/bypass shocks all around? Pros? Cons? You think it would be better to start with an a arm truck? You think with some motor work you could keep up in 1450?

I thought all 4runners had a-arms or are you proposing to put leafsprings up front as well? Regardless, any truck can work well with a correctly tuned suspension and some cash. Look at Leduc's solid axle jeeps. Those work pretty damn well.

Only the 84 and 85 4runners have solid axles all around. 86 and on they have a-arms.
yeah, 85 was the last year for SFA. It was also the first year for EFI. All yotas 86 and newer are a arms.
More opinions please! Thanks much.

i wouldnt bother with the SFA. you would probly be best to find some rockcrawler to buy it from you. they love those trucks. then with the money buy a 2wd a-arm toy. the 4x4 a-arm trucks are solid but have considerably less ground clearence than the 2wds.IMO
\"That truck is gangsta!............. What is it?\"
