I think i saw this truck rollin down the 91 W a few weeks back in riverside in the fast lane it handled the bumps no problem lol definatly a nice chevy, and im a ford guy!
Looks good. But damn that shock tab/bracket looks to be putting alot of leverage on the rear axle tubes![]()
very tragic, but my best wishes go out to his family, may he cross the big finish line in the sky and take the over all once and for all....

That is a production kit-Uppers,lowers,spindles. All 4130 tig welded.
ok i see the limit straps up front but does it have bump stops somewhere i cant see?
Not sure if fox shox have a solid piston on their bypasses, but once a solid piston passes the last compression tube, it's goes into hydro-lock and works like a bumpstop.
That's why most trophy trucks and class 1 cars don't have bumpstops.
how much does this exact set-up of a truck cost. i assume its a v8?
hit or be hit!!!

If we cut out the bad
Well then we’d have nothing left...

It runs 5000 for everything minus shocks and shock hoop. Whats sick about it is that it is all bolt on.

What other kits aren't? They all bolt into stock pivots...Originally Posted by [b

The velocity kit isnt bot on and same with the camburgs

as in bolt on shock hoops? the arms both bolt on that is what people are usually referring to. and ya maybe the engine cages arent bolt on but thats for a reason.....bolt on shock hoops usually dont last long to serious off-road conditions
does it have upgraded hubs? built rearend? 37s and robby gordons add alot of stress to stock chevy hubs.........any stock hubs for that matter truck looks good but what truck doesnt with projects and beadlocks.......always is the finishing touch.......i'd like to see a full built truck from this shop........front end .looks good
Might wanna re-think that statement until you have done your homework.Originally Posted by [b

Here is the first truck...Originally Posted by [b
This truck doesn't have the same kit as the truck that was at the expo. It was a custom one-off deal.
I'll post some more info on this truck later...

No I dont need to rethink that statement. I know the owner of velocity and the only part of the kit that bolts on is the lower arms and thats it. Chris is asking 40k for the single cabOriginally Posted by [b

yup... I had to weld on a shock tower to mount the coilovers on my velocity kitOriginally Posted by [b
No shock has a solid piston - that would defeat the purpose. Bypasses can be tuned like you said for the last bypass tube to act as a bumpstop.Originally Posted by [b
SAVE THE SEAGULLS!!!
Lots of shocks run a solid piston. They tend to be found on older TT and such, but SAW has recently gone to a solid piston in thier bypasses. Mike Smith shocks, many others. My old ranger ran solid pucks too. Harder to tune than convetional stuff and a sharper "Q" factor, if you will. They also tend to have crappy slow speed damping but lots of big hit resistance. But hey, thanks for letting us know that no one uses solid pistons.Originally Posted by [b
