in glamis on thanksgiving both of the ncd titans were there and they seemed to handle very good when i saw them on sand highway and into olds. didnt look too bad going down the drags either. i used to always see the silver one off the side of the 101 freeway up towards oxnard on my way to work

Thats because I'm a tech at Harley Davidson. And as a matter of fact I just got back last night from glamis and tuning the truck and was very pleased. The only thing I did was hit a razor back at 10 mph and stuff the nose thank god for a skid plate. Sucks when nobody is there cause i ended up bout 300 yard off the trail into olds. 2wd titan once again out in the big dunes where it had no business being. Thank the silver bullet. Dont fill you up just makes the truck faster or somethin.

That is because Im a tech at Ventura Harley Davidson. We actually just got back from glamis last night. We dialed in the truck and the thing rides like a dream. I had way too many psi in the bumps and we tweaked on the bypasses. Only thing that sucked is air of a razor back a midnight 300 yard off the trail into olds on accident. Trust me when there is not a party train rollin in and out its fricken dark out there. Titan handled it though. Once again going somewhere it had no business bein. Thank to that little silver bullet

No reason to start a new thread, so I will bump this one with a few more questions now that I have bought an SE yesterday.

1. I plan on ordering all my glass 1st chance I get this week, but I was wondeing how the bedsides come off, I can't tell if there are spot welds under the bed caps or not.
2. How do the front fenders come off, I since its dark and no flash light right now, I can only see a few screws holding the fenders on, and I can't imagine thats all there is holding them on, can you help me out?
3. Is Glassworks the only Fiberglass company offering anything for the Titans?
4. I am looking for a several diffrent fiberglass hood and can't seem to find anything besides what *
GlassWorks offers. Anyone know of any other hoods I could look at?

Thanks

4. That's the only hood I have seen so far. I think there are companies working on it though.

I dunno about the other stuff though.

Glassworks and Hanneman make fenders, Glassworks has bedsides, Hanneman is working on them but unknown when they will be out.

I just learned FWX has a 1 piece for the titan, and I think the guys that makes stuff for DMZ have a 1 piece also, ask greg for sure since he has one.

There are a couple other hoods, cant remember who makes them though, check titantalk, there are a few threads on them over there.

I think the fenders are just a few screws like you see, but I cannot say for sure.

Not sure abut the bedsides, might as DMZ since he has done some.

1. I honestly dont remember how the stock bedsides come off, but Im pretty sure theyre spot welded on underneath the bed rails. (Replaced at least one after every race last year)

2. Front fenders just screw in, theres one or two that are tricky by the doors, just gotta angle it all together.

3 - 4. Ditto on what everyone else ever said on glass.

Just an FYI we are working on the Titan kits as we speak and will have 3 kits available.

1) Bolt-in coilover & upper arm
2) Coilovers with spindle and upper arm w/ heim steering
3) L/T kit

Im pretty sure they just started working on the kits at the end of last week. My guess is that they will be similar to the new F-150 kits because they are pretty similar IE C/O and arm, C/O arm and spindle, and then LT.

Update on the Titan, I ordered my Glassworks Front and Rear Glass on Friday from Camburg, hoping there at paint sometime early this week, I also put in an ordered 4 an AEM Intake, will be ordering my rims on Monday, I think I am going to go with eaither the Chamber or the Crater from American Racing. Friday after noon I rolled over to Zoomers Exhaust in Irvine, had them put a cat back system on the truck, had them dump it right after the muffler(they looked at me Like I was insane when I asked for that) they claim 18/19 hp/tq numbers and I can say I actually fell some gains.
I hope to order my tires in a few weeks and then I will figure out my front end and how much I really want to spend on that.

Going to bump this thread again, the reason is that I have some questions I need awnsered.

I have a few questions that you may be able to help me out with. 4Wheel Parts is having there sale tomarrow, buy 3 tires get 1 free, and with me getting my Tax return back today I figured I should buy now...

Can I run 16 inch rims, I don't really see the point in spending the extra money on 17 inch rims and tires if I can get away with 16's.
I already have all my Glass, I don't plan on touching the spings in the rear at all since I have to tow the ranger.
I will put the stock rims and tires on the truck when I tow, but I am worried that I won't be able to clear 37's at normal ride hight just by running Fiberglass in the rear when not towing?
I'm not sure on what I will be running suspension wise up front, more than likely it will be one of Camburg's mid travel front ends, just not sure on how much I would have to lift the front to clear the 37's, I'm not planning on lifting it any more than needed.
My plan is to tuck the tires as much as possible.

Here are my questions:
Do I go with a 16 inch rim or a 17 inch?
Do I go with a 35 inch or 37 inch tire?
Can I clear 37's just by running FiberGlass in the rear?
How much lift is needed to clear 37's up front?

Please help me out, Brian

KiRMiT-Yes, I still have the Ranger, she got alittle beat up tonight, hopefully she will be ok...

1 Run a 17 cause they are sick gnar gnar
2 37 are nice but exspensive, and nobody that I know makes gears yet. Mine runs fine with stock gears and a five speed. A nissan tech was explaining to me how having a five speed actually translates the final drive ratio, compared to a 4 speed. I think he said with my big tow package 3.31 gears translates to a 4.11 ratio in first gear and a 3.73ish ratio in 5th. Take that as you may.
3Mine does not rub at all in the rear w/ 37 bfg muds and glass works fenders on a crew cab. I have 2.5 in air bumps though set up so it helps, no rubbing though. When I first lifted the truck I ran 37 on the rear without doing a thing. Rubbed with 5 people in the dirt but never on the street.
4Mine is a five in lift but its also 4 per side wider and 1 inch forward so probably at least a 6 in to clear 37 with out widening the front.

Hope that helps

Brian, the guys running 37's I know of are either running 10"+ lifts and needed every single inch for it to fit or are running glass w/ a LT set-up. I'm pretty sure you know GregG from here and he's running 37's but he's also running a custom LT set-up and a 1 piece clip up front(manik)? As for the 16 inch rim, as long as you have the proper caliper clearance you should be fine, but some walkers on your truck would definitely set it apart. Hope this helps.

Do I go with a 16 inch rim or a 17 inch? 17. 16 will only fit of you grind metal off of the calipers.
Do I go with a 35 inch or 37 inch tire? 37 will be fine in the back. You may have to do some creative bending and chopping to the front to get them to fit.
Also, watch your backspacing.

A 16" wheel CAN fit but it will have to have at least 4-4.25" of backspace on a 9" wide wheel, and the shape of the wheel will have to be a very snug fit. But that backspace will lead to a rubbing issue when you turn. Kind of a catch-22. Stick with 17's and all will be well.

37's are ok, but most guys run 35's and are very happy. 37's will NOT perform better at all, they just look cool.

There is plenty of power, no need to put stock wheels and tires back on when you tow. I tow heavy stuff all the time, and have no trouble.

About 5" of lift and glass will clear 37's. My truck is +4" each side and with the travel i have, i rub 37's (projects) on the inner fender at full compression, but 35's will clear. Actually, if your running the new C-burg stuff, becasue of the tall spindle, the upper arm will hit the inner fender long before the tire can.

as for gears, ive been working with a company for awhile now and they shuold have 3.73 available very soon (i hope!&#33 and 4.10s in a few months. Forget what you think about conventional gearing because with 4.10 on my titan and 37's with Quaife locker, it will light-up both tires just about anywhere.

If you want, give me a call and i can give you the real story on all the stuff currently being made and what is instore for the immidiate future. 951 780-5331

Here's a pic of me testing the CST spindle. 9.5" of travel with SAW c/o and radflo 2" airbump. SAW 10" in the rear wit hour 3 leaf Deaver minipack.

Here's a few videos a customer took when i gave him a ride a few weeks ago. nothing great really, but you can see what 4.10's and a locker and 37's will do. As for the jump pics, the frotn is way off and that jump sucks. but here you go. I dont know how to make it a direct link though.

yeah i was thinking the same thing, those upper arm mounts are the weakest link in the whole front end in my opinion. my mounts are so far bent inward that one of them is touching the oil dipstick. i had to heiim the uppers and machine spacers to fit in between the uca and spindle to get the right camber.

should have done something like gregs mid travel kit with the new pivot points, or at least some type of reinforcement.

kit looks dope none the less, cant wait to get one.

Heavy gusseting and maximum number of dimple dies is gonna solve that problem for us. Looks weak right now because we cut all the old gussets off.
