So I'm trying to decide whether to go with the new Fiberwerx 07 F150 to Ranger conversion one piece or keep my 6" glassworks fenders and get a fiberglass hood. What are the pros and cons of a one piece vs. a three piece? I've heard about 50/50 for each. Just trying to get some more opinions. Personally I am leaning towards the One piece, just for the accessibility of everything under the hood.

    Separate fenders/hood...

Easier to get to engine bay than a one-piece (removing it)
If one piece gets damaged it's cheaper to fix than a one-piece
    Lightweight compared to the one-piece
    Prices vary

    One-piece...

    Bling factor/aesthetics
Can take off the whole front end at once (but hard by yourself)
    Just so damn awesome

Daniel, I'd say for practicality stick with separate parts, for looks or for a non-dd truck/race truck get a one piece. That's just me, though. Good luck.

why would you guys buy a front clip though, i mean yea they are sick and all but you have a new style front end, i mean there are so manny ppl paying just to get the look of your truck why waste the money now, wait till its older. Just my .02
But dont get me wrong they are cool looking and i would love to have one

If u get a one piece make a mounting for the whole front clip to fold forward so you can gain better access to the engine area....plus its easier to work on ur truck and do what ever u want to it...

Yea, I was planning on getting something built like that, so it will flip forward.

Its not hard to make but depends on how you have ur bumper mounted or if you want it to make a new bumper that folds with the one piece.....im sure some fab shops can do it for you for a reasonable or moderate price....also take in consideration if you want to cut the inner fender and integrate it with your bed cage like the (H&M) or leave your stock inner fender...

I think that this is cool and all but it is not very practical in my opinion.

Exactly what function does it serve besides the bling factor?

I have a 3 piece and love mine as well, but later I might get that F150 06 front clip and throb it on, and make it to fold forward, plus its what your planning on using ur truck for, if ur going to go balls out every other weekend stick to the 3 piece, if ur DD and want the look go for the 1 piece just have a wide enough suspension for it to look good...

Yea, I definetly have the width to fill the glass. My track width is about 83"-84".

A arms. The alliance kit for the edge. It's 6" wiider per side so this one piece will tuck the tires nicely since i have a 83-84" track width.

What is so hard about getting the 1 piece off? I never had a problem removing mine by myself.

it really isn't that difficult. i grab mine by one of the fenders and the grill.... because i'm not a tall guy, i just lean backwards and the whole thing just pulls right off.

it's not hard to take off and it looks cool. but i can see how it would be a pain if you were racing and were in a rush to fix something.

Everytime I have been a race and we needed to get access to under the hood, I believe the 1-piece allowed us quick and easy access to inspect or adjust various components.

When we were finished, slammed the 1 piece back on and were on our way.
