Probably going with a Chaos front with coilovers. I need some ideas about the rear, Should I go with Deavers and run the shocks inside to the cage? or should I go with a 4-link setup? Does anybody have any 4-runner pics?

I have another built 4runner that is as good if not better than that one. Well it is a 1986 4runner that was 4x4 but I converted it to 2wd now.It has the ATS kit up front but upper uniball. It has a 10 by 2.5 swayaway shock but I am going to dual rate coils from King real soon.It has the back plexiglass window and it is all sealed. Has a 32 gallon Jaz cell with all hydraulic lines. Rear cage with 18" stroke 2.5 swayaways with air bumps and 62" Deavers.Has rear tire carrier integrated and has ice chest/pit box/extra tire carrier and another bolt on spare tire carrier. In the motor department it has a 3.0 7m-ge Inline 6 Supra motor non-turbo. Has dual Spal fans with oversized Griffin Racing aluminum radiator. Has race radio with GPS hookups, oh and its on 33 by 12.50 by 15 inch rim. I think thats it for now. I am trying to get pictures up on the net....with in the next couple of days.

62's arent bad to install on a 4runner, i did the back on jeff sack's (5-1600 racer) prerunner 4runner. same as any other install except that i had to remove the gas tank to be able to weld the front hanger it. works good too.

I was thinking about making a fuel cell anyway so I don't think I would have a problem with the tank. Did you guys use a custom spring or the regular racepack? the runner seems a little heavy in the rear. did you go over or under axle? seems like under might limit wrap a little. what glass are you guys running? anyone know anything about the Fiberwerks rear guarters? Get me some pics, here ia AZ I have nothing to look at.

I am using glassworks I think. My sheetmetal is just cut so I can tuck the tires. I can even tuck 35's if I really wanted to.
I didnt know fiberwerx had rear quarters.

Check out the fiberwerx site. they look sick, don't know about the rear door piece or how it all fits up. I need to give them a call this week on prices and availability.

we modified a 62" spring for it. spring under has less axle wrap, and, in this case, is the way to go.

you can use the total chaos components for the 89-95 truck, same thing. you might also want to consider getting the full kit from kartek. comes with everything for a package deal

I'm curious as to why you removed 4wd?

The 4wd was partially removed by the previous owner because of the supra swap. I would have to get the oil pan notched and at the time I didnt want to do all that work as it is my daily driver. Then the tranny blew and I needed a new one. The tranny guy suggested using a 2wd tranny from the turbo'd 22rte truck. It is alot beefier but now I probably should have used a supra tranny but it still is fine. I really dont think I need 4wd but it would be nice putting it in 4wd hogh and blasting through the silt beds. But so far I havnt needed 4wd yet.
