Default 4" or 2" stroke for bumpstop in rear of leaf truck.

just looking for some input because i was having a convo with a fellow offroader today... im currently getting 8-9" of uptravel in the rear of my tacoma with 62s. it currently has 16" 2 tube bypasses with 2.5x4" bumpstops... do u guys see any reason on why it would be better to shorten them up to a 2" stroke? thoughts?

i would think just so you dont use your bumps as much this all would depend on how you have them mounted imo on my old truck with deavers i had 2.0 x 4 bump and it only got used if i hucked it pretty good sooo i would say its all about how you have them mounted and if your using your bumps alot while mobing or what not!

I ended up with 2" But, i'm getting axle wrap issues so kinda forced into it.

I did some short tests with the 4" though and it didnt seem to ride much different. (i'm no expert though)

    maybe try both?

Let me guess, your compression tub is turned all the way in and you didn’t get the free shock tune?

The only reason I see for a 2" bump is if space is limited. On the rear of a truck, no reason NOT to have 4" of bump.

i havnt yet,... but its because my motormounts are toast so i cant take it offroad anyways... shocks are going in when the motormounts get redone. i was just asking for general knowledge. i thought if people said 2" stroke id just do that as the same time as the rear shocks getting valved.
