yeah thats what i was thinking. and my friends truck got really clogged and a piece broke off inside and was making a noise simular to what mine is making and that was the problem. if thats just the case i might as well keep the truck and build it into a toy. after all it is a toyota there good trucks.

yes that maybe but i owned this truck when the motor blew it was running hot and had a motor knock for a pretty long time it ran low on oil is why the motor knock came in and im not thread bashing just sold the truck to him and was honest told him everything then he posted on here a week later for 3 times what he paid for it i sold it to him for a reasonable price so i figured i would be honest because this was my previous truck

yeah idk ill find out when i start working on it cause when i just drove it it seemed like it was running fine and idleing fine just was slow. and why would it matter to you how much i am selling it for your not buying it and it has nothing to do with you anymore obviously its running fine now i put oil in it cause you dont know how to do that obviously and now it doesnt get hot. so why would it matter to you how much someone buys it for if its not yours? its not like its ripping someone off for a grand if they wanna buy it. you should just go to the dealer ships and talk people into not buying a vehicle cause thats how dumb it sounds that your bashing on this thread. if anyone wants to come check out the truck feel free

it doesnt idle fine didnt when i had it it had a vacuum leak somewhere and i know for a fact that the motor is gone just work on it and find out

yeah i remember that is was idling rough when i bought if from you when you started it for me but ever sense i put oil in it is idles very steady. and i pretty sure your right about the motor needing to be fixed i took the exhaust off tonight and started it straight from the header it stopped rattling so much cause there is something loose in the muffler but it is still knocking i emailed a couple guys about a motor and trans for it for a couple good deals so i might do that who knows maybe ill be keeping it and doing what i wanted to do with it in the first place and make it a toy. maybe you can stop buy some time when im workin on it and give me some second opinions sense you did own the truck before me and you drove it alot more.
and no havent sold it yet ANTE-MORTEM the main reason i want to see it and will only take a grand for it is so i will have another grand to put down on one of the new body style tacomas. but if you got a grand and you want to buy it you can come check it out i will start it for you and show you that it idles fine and you can check the rest of the truck out

yeah ill get more pics. the latest price is 900 obo i have a friend coming to look at it for his sons first truck so ill let you know how that goes and have a standing offer of 650 from another friend but not willing to let it go for that price unless i need to eventually. i will also consider trades for a newer street bike got to be fuel injected and ill add cash on my end

this is true....

buuut if you dont wana do that and ull let it go for about 400 ill turn it in to a short course truck and you can see it go to good use. if you sell this to me my plan for this would be to build a stock mini and race it at glen halen.

oh nice thanks thats pretty far from my house though its probably gonna take another 200 in gas to get there and back but thats a good deal for someone who lives close to LA. i went to lc engineering the other day cause its right up the street from my house and they dont have any used engines i could buy and there engines are pretty pricey for me right now wish i could get one though they have great warrenties

Where is the truck located and does it run good enough to make it to Las Vegas? You have the title in hand and it's all legit in your name and everything? I'll give you $500 this weekend depending where it's at and if it's drivable...

(I honestly just want the vin numbers off of it, I'll probably part out the rest of the truck, scrap it, or give it to a friend to use for mockup or something...)

plans changed guys i put my daily driver 300c through a cinder block mail box and it might be totaled so i got to fix this now for my daily driver around town. depending on how much money i get from insurance i might get a new short block or if i get a good amount i might put a oem supra motor in it and a mild kit up front

does anyone know if they make a 05 tacoma fiberglass front for this style truck and if anyone has done a supra motor swap into one of these i need some insight
