Default How to Attach image to forum

How to attach an image from your computer to your post:

in the thread, click the "Go Advanced" button below the Quick Reply window, found underneath the red arrow

after that page loads, scroll down and click the button that says "Manage Attachments"

a window will pop up, and from there click "Add Files" in the top right corner

in the small window box that opens, click on "Select Files" to be able to upload the file from your computer

once you have selected however many images you would like to upload, click "Upload Files"

after the image uploads, you have two options. the first option inserts the thumbnail of the image into your post. to do that, click the button below the red arrow, marked "Insert Inline." once you've done that, click "Done." if you do not want to insert the images inline, simply click done.

below is an image of the reply box if you had chosen to insert the image inline. if you did not insert the images inline, this text won't appear.

here is a sample of the uploaded image inserted inline

this is what it looks like if you do not insert inline

OK how do I access my album of uploaded pics? I uploaded some yesterday for the az classified section, but something went wrong. It would lock up and say 'error 2038'. I tried several different pics and different sizes but nothing worked. Each time the used file space went up, but no additional pics showed up in my collection.

your album should be on the left side of your profile below your list of friends.

I never made an album though. I just found under settings/misc/attachments my previous uploads. For whatever reason the pics I tried to load yesterday failed, and they are not in the attachments list.

I found pics uploaded over several years, all prior to yesterday's attempt. Since yesterday I get an 'error 2038' message in the upload window.

Ive been having the same issue for about a month now. Can select files to upload but when you click upload files it progresses through like its working but as soon as its done it comes up error 2038 and wont work. Ive just simply been uploading into photobucket and img coding when needed but its getting old having to do it the old way. Heres what we're getting just to help solve our issue incase nobody know what the fuck we are speaking of lol

    just figured it out.. FINALLY
    From photobucket ,

    1. Upload pictures to photobucket
    2. Click the picture after Uploaded
    3. Select Share and a pop up comes up with Different Codes to Copy&Paste For All sorts of sites
    4. The last two of these options are for either a Thumbnail Upload Or Full screen Picture which ever will work ( its your choice )
It should like similar to this
IMG for bulletin boards & forums
    ? Full size

Use this to embed your content (at its full size) on bulletin boards and forums. You may have to modify the code to [img] on some forums. Your media will display on the site that it is linked to.

    5. Copy and Paste whichever size you choose. And click preview page ( On DR ) and it shall upload/popup in the preview and Bam your good to goo!

I by no means gurantee this will work for everyone but It did for me so I figured I share for some who are having problems!

I can't post anything, not even if I use a link from photobucket, etc. If I log into my husband's account, I can upload the exact same files that won't upload from my acount. It's not fair.. lol

from photobucket, copy the code that starts with [img] and paste it in the reply box. i don't even use the little image icon in the quick reply box anymore. but when i attached a pic to the forum yesterday i clicked 'go advanced' at the bottom of th quick reply box, then manage attachments, uploaded the pic and inserted inline. worked fine for me.

I tryed the go advanced one when I walked through your guidlines and it didn't work for me , kept getting that error msg. Anywho I don't know what to tell you @ljubera . I thought it was weird it would show the code with no picture until I clicked preview page then it would pull it through, but I would do that anyway to not get flammed for it not actually getting posted ,before I would offically posted it.
