Yesterday was a good day, warm enough to get the shop doors open.

Got the fan mounted a little better than with self tappers.

Drew some lines on some scrap.

Which turned into mounts for the worlds shittiest Chinese catch cans.

Which got mounted to the cross bar.

Orange bike rules! Electric start rules! FI rules with shitty ethanol laced fuel! Street legal 2 strokes rule.

Not cheap. Seat is typical hateful KTM vinal wrapped 2X4 ass wedge. Suspension is set up like a stadium bike, the harder you push it the better it gets. Very harsh at old man speeds.

what's happening with that fan mount?
Is that a button head threaded into a rivet nut, with a standoff welded to the outside of the shroud?

The Husky seat is the same. My buddy asked how long until that seat hurts. My reply was now. I agree with all you stated and would have loved to go 2 stroke but had one already so went 4.

They are not button heads, they are little studs. They are pressed through the spacers and the spacers are tacked to keep them from spinning. The shroud is so thin they would have spun as soon as any torque was applied.
