Exactly. I think that’s what that adjustment screw on the side of our shifters is for
Yeah that’s to set the lock out but you have to set the adjustment rod first for the proper throw side to side.

Iirc I put it in 2nd gear and made sure the shifter was centered but in the pulled back position for second, then locked it down. Made sure I got 3rd and forth, then set the lock out.

Update on the above brake line post, more then half of my flares leaked!!
After revisiting every line and giving some more love I finally have no leaks.

You need to double shear those trailing arm hiems. Otherwise they come loose. The driver side especially. Even then I would put bolt on locking tabs over the bolt heads. Or weld on a piece of tube large enough to put the socket in. Then run a bolt through that to keep the pivot bolt in place even if it comes loose.
Since the rear shocks are off for rebuild I finally got around to double sheer the rear arm pivots. Cut some spacers and outer plates, welded, painted and installed.

Ever find out what caused the leaks?

I didn’t have a big enough bubble flare on the ends. The fitting was bottoming out before the line could get tight. I just chucked them up in the tool again 1/8” higher and redid the flair without cutting anything

I got one of my rear fenders mounted today. Another step I needed to handle since the rear shocks are off. I had to cut up the fender quite a bit to make it fit half decent. I don’t love how high they needed to be but at least it’s done. I copied all the cuts I made to the other side and will get that mounted tomorrow.
