I really need to get off the dailies and update this thing more often

I thought this was a cool idea to keep the spare spark plugs from bouncing around in the spares box

Moved the radio head unit to the dash instead of above my head. Also, got rid of the unnecessary electronic 4x4 wiring/switches.

Purchased an overpriced headset hanger. Got tired of handing the headset to the passenger after they buckled up.

This is the only pic of the finished bumper I currently have. Truck was loaded and ready to hit the dez

I also removed the poly bushings from the radius arm connection points and replaced with delrin which resulted in the pics below.

I’m pretty certain that I didn’t clearance the uniball cups enough resulting in the beam pivot fatiguing and cracking

Why do you think the uniball cup had caused issues...

I did just have mine fail on mine but it has lasted over the life of the truck (1994) so I figure it's not a terrible design. With that said I'm going to add some gussets to mine to help it last longer.

Its a little hard for me to explain in text.. but the uniball cup would touch the top on the inside of the pivot at droop and the bottom inside at bump just slightly. I trimmed the hell out of it originally, but it probably needed a little more. It lasted this long because the poly at the beam to radius arm mount allowed it some give. I think once I put the delrin in there was no more give. This mount will allow me to run proper misalignments without any trimming of the cup.. I hope

Edit: Also, the current “misalignments” I’m using are actually just weld washers
