weld the leaf back together. It's just gonna break again. LOL

Then take the money, buy a cheap RCI cell, a junkyard 9" and some coil overs....

buy some cheap ass Rem Hot roll and HREW at the local yard and link it now while you are ahead.(they had a ton at IMS last time was there. hell I bought a nice strip of 1/8. Like >.50 a pound.),

1. Your mind will be blown how much better it is...
2. Profit!
everyone knows building links out of HREW means the truck will instantly explode the moment it hits dirt.

Get 2, keep the springs the same. Also, your other one is probably tweeked too.......
Throw the currently non broken one underneath the truck, bolted with some clamps to the frame. I saw that on an explorer this weekend at KOH. His spare main leaf was clamped to his rock sliders. Thought that was pretty nifty

thanks for the replies.. both mains were bending from droop going to far bending the main up causing a gap between the main and leaf it rides on. and the paint was chipping where the stress was.. it can be seen here if you zoom in..

i called valley spring service and they wanted around $300 for two new mains..
Dunbar wanted about $300 for two new mains plus re-arching the other springs..
I am thinking about getting the mains springs shortened as well too so it allows for the springs to sag and gain length.

There was some bad binding with that axle wrap set-up, very noticeable at droop, into the scrap bin that thing went.. While waiting for Dunbar Springs to make 2 new mains and re-arch the leaf packs, I wanted to address my ubolt plates bending. My new CAD workshop, a fucking kitchen table.

Added some 3/16” plate and also made the bump striker contact area a little larger

Lookin good bud. Is that landing pad big enough? I can see the bump sliding off it while articulating. I've seen it happen and the axle got stuck like that because the bump got caught on the lip of the pad

My bumps scrub a 2” (fore-aft) by 3” (left right) area on my bumpstrike pads.

Leaf springs allow the axle to move around quite a bit.
