Ok noted, that stock one is gnarly. I'm not running a shroud currently but maybe putting one on will quiet it down as well

Made a simple bumper today, going to finish it up tomorrow. Found a deal on a chop saw for $89 and really enjoyed having it for this project. I haven't "fabricated" anything in a while so it was cool to be throwing sparks again. 1.5x.095 hrew bumper

Got started on the passenger seat mount. Running the front horizontal bar to the tunnel, man that toyota sheet metal is thin. Had to be careful with it using the flux core. May invest in a Lincoln 180 and some gas since I've been enjoying working on the truck again. I think the form and finish will be a lot better using a true mig.

Tubes are 1.5x.095 with a 1.75x.120 wall sleeve on the door bar.

Also, made a simple straight tube bumper. I know it's counter intuitive but I'd like it to bend/fold in the case of an accident. Obviously this is bro-science but Id like it to have some give in the event that I run it into a camry.

Getting a skid cut out for it next week.

Explored some of the smokie mountains this weekend in tennessee. Had to wire my starter to my headlights, change a flat, and buy a new battery and terminals (forgot to tie down the old one after the starter situation), but besides that we had a blast.

Realized I need a little more ground clearance for these east coast trails, going to throw on some 35s, crank in a little more preload, and then figure out something with the rear.
