There are like a dozen more brands of welders than the last time I was in the market, so I don't know where to start. If you wanted to build a cage or a suspension part every three months, what would you go for?

Plan is to get a Primeweld TIG225 for my TIG. I'm thinking a Lincoln 180HD is still a good starter, but not sure if the new/Asian brands have a better MIG option.

I still love my 180HD. It's worked great for me for the last 4 or 5 years, and I use it very often. Nearly everything I make is welded with it, and for not being a fulltime shop, I definitely stay busy.

I use the Squarewave 200 for my TIG and love it, too.

I’ve been using the 180hd for years and it’s still going strong, I’ve built my whole truck with it.

For tig I have the Everlasting 200DV and it’s been a good machine, haven’t had any problems with it, welds steel and aluminum.

I picked up a used power mig 180c with a bottle and it’s been great so far. I don’t know about tig welders but was looking into the everlast brand a while back

I love my millermatic 211, I have put around 15 10# spools through it with zero issues. I also like the option of 110v or 220v. 8 years ago it was $1100 and came with the spool gun

Been running the 180HD as well for a while. No complaints at all from me. FAR superior to the 110v paperweight it replaced.

The Lincoln Easy Mig 180 looks like the winner, seems to be the same welder as the HD, just with a different name sticker for Northern Tool. Seasonal sale plus discount code is like $60 off, so $670 shipped.
