Follow the instructions on the can prior to paint.. everything should be sand blasted and cleaned prior to spraying. I’ve had way better results with sand blasted stuff vs just spraying it on bare metal or a scuffed/sanded surface

The cost of Cerakoteing cylinders vs blasting them with some Steel-It is in no way comparable. It’s like $3/in per cylinder to do Cerakote

How do any of those coatings on coilovers with sliders hold up? Does the slider kill it pretty quick?

I’d love to find where to get the old style fox stickers so I can redo my rear shocks

From a corrosion perspective I hate powder coating. All the marine stuff I used that was powder coated aluminum ends up coming off in sheets and leaving behind a damaged surface. The salt wicks under the coating as soon as it gets a scratch and eats the aluminum. Not as big of a concern on a truck though.
