ya just smack it in forward or reverse and stab the gas
it is nice and slow. maybe 5mph
i think the power steering pump is pretty whack
i need a real hydro pump and the direct drive it

1-1 gear ratio on the pump? Most PS pumps are over driven , usually about 50% on a production car.

I'm still gonna say, twin pump that bitch!

i think it is slightly under driven
the motor still bogs out when trying to climb something so not sure what to think there
i think i might try and log splitter 2 speed pump next
pretty fun learning this stuff when it works out better each time

plasma on the firewall to get the crank poking through

ya going to need a heat shield under there or something. cross that bridge when i get there i guess
there is about no extra room under the hood
the spark plug boot is about 1/4" too tall for the hood to close. this is even after i trimmed it down. i need a 90 degree style

sooo i got the whole new mess together pretty painlessly
for some dam reason there is something slipping/bypassing pressure
for log splitting powerful shit it does not really have any kind hydro-static feel
it slips easy when driving on flat ground at half throttle or more
i can stop it while driving with the brakes and full throttle it no trouble. zero speed all revs
i cranked the spool valve all the way down and that made no change
i imagine the pump has no internal bypass?

this is the valve

i can see the resivior flowing lots of fluid when power braking it at no speed. so i think the pump is there but why no balls on the valve???????
