It facilitates clearance for the idler and pitman arm at full bump. A “subframe” of sorts is still required, it’s just moved to the rear.Probably a noob question, but where the lowers connect to the frame, what's the idea behind moving the front lower pivot location to the rear? is it to make room for bigger steering components? for strength? or does it just eliminate the need for a subframe? ive seen it done on quite a few toyota 2wd trucks but never understood why. Cant wait to see the final result. lookin stylish so far.
