Been behind with updates on this thing between starting a new job and taking care of family stuff, I ran out of time and money before I had to go out of town so I abandoned the 8.8 swap idea for the time being. But the good news is the 7.5 held up pretty well on the long drive to Colorado and back, and I managed to get decent mileage with the stock 4.10s. Other than clogging both cats in flagstaff, and losing 4th she did really well, and even out-wheeled some newer Jeeps on the trails!

Nice, looks like a good trip, with some awesome views! How did those KO2s do in mud?
Yeah was definitely one to remember. They actually did pretty dang well, granted most of the mud was watery slush from the snow runoff but I had no traction issues. Aired down to 25psi and had no problems. Now I just need longer radius arms so it stops swaying like an Alaskan crab boat..

Welp decided not to sell the B2 ..again. My poor F150 will just have to wait her turn. So now I’m working on getting some used radius arms, and possibly softer coil springs. They’re meant for D28/35 beams but they’re in pretty good shape with heims and the price is right so I may pull the trigger. I’ll just have to figure out how to mount frame end, and a crossmember. Also my ABS hydraulic unit started leaking(proportioning valve) so now I’m on the hunt for a used one if anyone’s got one. Also still looking for a complete A4LD trans harness. Noticed recently that the bushings in my stock leaves are showing their age, seems as though they didn’t like the abuse off road in Colorado much.. Can’t afford new/used Deavers at the moment so would it be worth my time and struggle to swap the bushings out? Or is it a waste and should I just be patient? (I suck at being patient with truck stuff) I’m pretty sure some of the bushing slop is contributing to the sway at speed, other than the radius arms being at a not-so-desirable angle. And can any of the 2.9 guys chime in with their opinions on exhaust mods? Now that I have no cats it’s waaaayyy too much drone on the highway. Not putting cats back on it now that I’m keeping it, so what muffler(s) do you guys think don’t drone too much on a v6? I’m thinking a large glass pack may help, but I’d also be open to putting a universal resonator before the Flowmaster if that helps more. So what can I do? Short of buying a single brand new cat just to quiet it up and bit and get some deeper tone restored.

Summit sells resonators for about 30 bucks.
You work at a parts store. So bushings are a no brainer. The a.b.s. is rear only. Throw it in the trash. Patch in or replace lines.
Trans harness in good shape might be tough to find. But having a second one to rebuild or repair may not be a bad thing.

Yeah I was looking at those, no idea how it’ll turn out though sound-wise. Yeah I was thinking of upgrading the bushings to poly units or something.. does anyone know what the Deaver leaves use? Poly or rubber? Delrin maybe? Yeah that was my other idea, a new OEM unit is roughly $130, but I could always put in an aftermarket proportioning valve for half that.. I’ve never been a huge fan of abs on older stuff, but the shorter wheelbase has me worried in panic braking situations.. idk. I rebuilt the old harness and it’s working fine right now, but I agree a spare one would be nice since it’s a common issue
