Good to know man! We ended up ordering all the tools from Fox, for the 2.5 and 3.0 UTV shocks... with the long and short nitro needle adapters we are just short of $1000 in tooling for this rebuild.

I’ll take pics as I get them torn down

I’ve done hundreds of them. Brass punch to get the cap off, then you need the special tools from fox to get the seal head out and a special tool to pull thr IFP

I use a piece of 3" I.D. black plastic pipe to remove the seal head . After the wire retaining ring is removed , put the pipe over the shock body on to the preload adjuster. The pipe should be short enough to allow you to put the lower spring retainer on. Then just use the preload adjuster to push the piston / seal head out of the shock body.
This is for my 2.5 shocks.
