Galaxy tab 3. It's decently old now, still works for mapping. Only complaint is the battery is pretty weak, I have to leave it plugged it when I'm using it in the truck. I do feel like the battery's in apple stuff last much longer, but I'm the same and won't buy apple anything. I can live with keeping it plugged it.

Lol.

Any decent android with internal GPS should work fine I would think. I wouldn't buy cheap off brand stuff from CVS, buy samsung, google, etc I would think would be fine.

Haha to each their own. Neither one is the BEST, I think at least, it's all user preference. Which one works for YOU is all that matters. Hah

The fact is, is that any newer tablet is more than powerful enough to run navigation apps. I use an external bluetooth antenna made by Dual and have never lost gps signal. I used to be all gung ho on a tablet, but my phone honestly works fine for what I do. My preferred app these days is Gaia.
